Liked: Excellent location, close to a cycle route and train station. Good sized pitch. Lovely lady selling burgers and chips. Small on-site shop selling local produce. Some great evening entertainment on Friday night. The town has a lovely deli.

Liked: Shower block clean . Long way from some of the pitches. Fee reasonable.

Disliked: This site is actually called Camping Peupliers. Hence we could not find it as pitch up called it Montlouis sur Loire. There no signs for this. We found it by going to Peupliers and asking where Camping Montlouis sur Loire was. Receptionist not pleasant at all.

Disliked: Too close to noisy main road Not close to anything for walking Nasty cleaner smell in toilet block Last attendance of municipal swimming pool 1 hour before closure denying us access. Not happy with site so moved on after one night (having booked and paid for 3 nights)

Local attractions

La Loire à Vélo runs for 800 kilometres along the Loire riverbank for two thirds of its route, and greenways, low traffic roads and bike trails for the rest. Bike along the route to splendid Tours, about 35 minutes by bike, or for a gentler time ride the couple of kilometres via Rue Christophe Plantin to arrive in local town Montlouis-sur-Loire. As it's the Loire Valley, châteaux and vineyards are easily reached too, many within about 45 minutes' cycle. A ride of around 40 minutes on the local greenway will take you to the splendid gardens of the Château de Valmer, where you can also taste local wines. Within an hour and a half – or about 40 minutes by car – is Château de Villandry, or you could pedal 50 minutes or so to Amboise, to view the medieval Château d’Amboise and the Château de Clos Lucé, where Leonardo da Vinci once lived. Too much old stuff? Take the kids to marvel at the depths of the Grand Aquarium of Touraine, about half an hour's drive from the site.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Vehicles

No vehicle movement between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Only one car is to be parked at the site. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.

Safety

Open fires are prohibited.

General

Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and trunks must be closed quietly.

Reception

Reception is open from 9 a.m. to noon and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. between 01/04 and 25/10.

Vehicles

The car is only included in the rate if you are traveling with a camper, trailer tent or tent. Cars are not permitted when traveling with a motorhome/RV.

General

The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behavior is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
