Bøsøre Strand Feriepark

There's stacks to do within a short drive of this fairytale Funen setting, including several pretty castles and manor houses. Take a trip over to the 16th-century defensive fortress of Hesselagergård Manor and its ancient 20-hectare park, divvied up into several areas including a Renaissance garden with fountains and topiary figures. The Baroque splendour of 16th-century Glorup Manor is a similar distance from Bøsøre Strand, about eight kilometres away in eastern Funen, and Europe's best preserved Renaissance water castle, Egeskov, lies half an hour's drive from the site. For water-based adventure 30 kilometres away, explore Davinde lake by canoe or boat, then procure yourself some firewood there for an evening campfire by the water's edge before heading back to base.
