Set deep inside a spectacular bay on the island of Murter, on the Croatian coast, Camping Jezera Lovišća attracts holidaymakers with shaded seafront pitches surrounded by aromatic Mediterranean vegetation. Sheltered from strong winds and currents, the site has a pebbly beach with a gently sloping seafloor, which makes it a popular spot for families. And there’s heaps here to keep younger guests busy, including a large playground, a miniature golf course, table tennis and a kids’ club with day and evening entertainment. There’s also a dog beach, so kids can splash around in the clear waters of the bay with their canine buddy. Grown-ups needn’t feel left out, either. Those who want to wind down and relax can do just that on the beach, in the shade of the pine trees or on the terrace of the restaurant, sipping a long drink while taking in views of the sea and surrounding forested hills. Active types, meanwhile, can take advantage of the on-site tennis and basketball courts, or have a go at watersports. There are also well-maintained routes for keen cyclists, both along the coast or through nearby forests, vineyards and olive groves. Boat trips from the town of Murter (five minutes’ drive) take you to National Park Kornati, an archipelago of about 90 islands where you can go snorkelling, fishing (be sure to have all your paperwork in place, first) and hiking. The site has facilities for the disabled, showers and a launderette. There’s also a food shop selling what you need for simple meals; for anything more elaborate there’s a supermarket less than five minutes’ drive away.

Liked Ease of being able to get away from the noise, smell and cloudy water to close by beautiful beaches and bays.
Liked the spacious sea front, kept clean and tidy. Toilets and showers after dark as it looks miserable in the day time. Obliging reception staff.

Liked Camping très bien situé, dans la pinède avec vue sur la mer. Les sanitaires sont propres , avec un bon petit restaurant et une pizzeria. On a passé un très bon séjour, je recommande ce camping.

Disliked Aire pour vider les eaux usées pas pratique et au fond du camping.

Liked Le cadre est magnifique, les sanitaires sont propres et plusieurs animations sont proposées au fil de la journée aux petits comme aux grands !
Nous y avons passé 2 nuits et avons pu ainsi profiter d'une petite parenthèse lors de notre road trip sur leur plage privée.

Local attractions

Stretching along the course of the Krka and Čikola rivers, Krka National Park (35 minutes’ drive) is known for its spectacular waterfalls and forested surrounds, which you can explore by bike or on foot, keeping an eye out for otters and deer. The park’s caves also house one of Europe’s largest colonies of bats. Lined with thick patches of reeds, the brackish waters of Vrana Lake (40 minutes) are home to many bird species, including cormorants, herons and egrets. You can explore the lake on a kayak, or hike up the hills to viewpoints looking all the way down to the coast. The historic city of Zadar (one hour) has Roman ruins, medieval churches and defensive walls dating back to its time as a province of the Venetian Republic. Check out the Museum of Ancient Glass before heading to the Sea Organ (an instrument played by the waves) to admire the sunset over the sea.
