- Spectacular luxury treehouse 30 minutes' drive from Dubrovnik
- Part of an adventure park with paintballing and ziplining
- A 15-minute drive from the seaside at Cavtat; wineries close by
Holidays in a treehouse? When you see the fab wood-based accommodation at Croatia's Cadmos Village you'll want to move in forevermore.
That stunning treehouse (see pics, now, please) is part of an activity centre and adventure park in woodland near the Konavle region's small village of Komaji, half an hour from Dubrovnik. There's archery and paintballing to get gleefully stuck into around the grounds, ziplining and a giant swing for shooting adrenaline levels further up, and hiking, cycling or horse riding tours leaving from the site into the lush local countryside. And if you seek sea, the smashing seaside town of Cavtat is 15 minutes' drive away.
You'll be staying in a treehouse seven metres off the ground with its own terrace for spectacular views over the woodland. It's also got its own bathroom with shower, as well as double glazing, three bedrooms and electricity – there's even a bath for possibly the most scenic submerge you'll have anywhere on your hols.
A kitchen area and a barbecue are included in the treehouse; it's highly recommended that you accompany whatever you cook with wines from the nearby Konavle valley vineyards.

Local attractions
Ditch the car if you so desire: there are tours by foot and pedal straight from the site; local wineries are within three kilometres and a horse riding centre is within five. The centre has bike hire.
This is prime watersports land too, with sea kayaking about eight kilometres away (ask the Cadmos Village team for their tips), and diving, fishing, surfing and sailing all to hand in Molunat, within 20 minutes. If you're up for a trip further afield, take a spectacular island kayaking trip around Koločep and the other Elaphiti Islands, leaving from the harbour at Dubrovnik.
A must-see is the site's local town of Cavtat (15 minutes), a peaceful Adriatic seaside town with spectacular sands, an ancient Old Town, and a quiet vibe.
