- Adults-only bell tent at a lavender farm near Peterborough, Ontario
- By the Otonabee River with direct access for fishing and kayaking
- Sauna and wellness experiences available on site for an extra fee
If you’re in need of a break from the stress of modern life, well, what could be more suitable than a lavender farm? Lavender is known for its calming properties, and you’ll be able to chill out right there among the blooms when you stay at Get Calm Lavender Farm, about 15 minutes’ drive from Peterborough, Ontario. With easy access from the Greater Toronto Area (about an hour and a half’s drive), it’s a great spot to bear in mind if you need a break from city life.
This rural property encompasses forested and farmed land on the banks of the Otonabee River, which you’ll have access to for kayaking and seasonal fishing; you can also hit forest trails for walking and quiet reflection time. If that’s not enough to get your blood pressure down, how about some time in the woodfired sauna pod, or a wellness experience like somatic movement, sound healing or meditation (all available for an extra cost)?
You’ll be staying in a peaceful adults-only bell tent in a private area surrounded by trees rather than a busy campsite, and there’s plenty of space to relax around the farm. The exclusive-use pitch comes with a barbecue and comfy outdoor chairs, and the tent is furnished with a double bed, chairs and table, lighting and board games. Bed linen and firewood are provided, but you’ll need to bring your own towels.
