It's free, quick and easy!
- Peaceful site five minutes’ walk from sandy Black Sea Coast beaches
- A 50-minute drive from Nesebâr and 35 minutes from Cape Emine
- Pool, restaurant, bike hire, and a 15-minute walk to Obzor town centre
Lazy seaside days, hours spent lounging around site, and lots of scenic walking routes… If that sounds like bliss, head along to Camp Zora, a family-friendly site five minutes’ drive from the centre of Obzor in the Burgas region.
The site’s well placed for beachy hols: it’s a five-minute stroll to the nearest beach, which at 10 kilometres just so happens to be the longest beach on the Bulgarian Black Sea. That’s 10 kilometres of splashing about in the surf, taking long bracing walks and having a go at watersports. There are also loungers and parasols to rent if sunning oneself more fits the bill…
For more soothing days away from the beach crowd, retreat to the site to cool off in the small above-ground pool, or simply chill out on the large green space that can be used for games, chatting with other guests or generally running around. Want to stay active? There are bikes for hire on site, and plenty of options for fishing, sailing and surfing within easily pedalled reach.
Once appetites are worked up, head to the site restaurant – just outside the entrance, a short stroll away – for local dishes and drinks, explore the eateries in Obzor, or opt for self-catering instead with a pitstop in the kitchen or at the barbecues.

Local attractions
The Black Sea Coast is particularly scenic, and there’s lots round here worth exploring. Start with trips to Irakli beach, a three-kilometre stretch of sand in a protected nature area (and naturist area) 15 minutes’ drive from the site, then carry on to Kara Dere wild beach, which sits between forest and sea and is largely quiet much of the time.
When tired of the beach, but not tired of the water, opt for a splash about in one of the nearby waterparks. Aquapark Sol LunaBay is five minutes down the road and there are more options in the cities of Nesebâr, Burgas and Varna, all within about an hour of base.
Those cities are well worth visits if urban days appeal: Nesebâr (50 minutes) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with museums and the remains of Byzantine baths; Varna (an hour) is a port city with cave monasteries, a château, and – for wannabe zoologists – a zoo, an aquarium and a dolphin show; and Burgas (an hour 10 minutes) has a casino, an island monastery, fishing and birdwatching at a natural lagoon, and a host of museums.
Prefer to stick to the rural? Grab hiking boots and set off on a wander – the E3 European long-distance walking route (covering 6,950 kilometres from Bulgaria to Portugal) can be picked up on Cape Emine.
