Spacious, clean site in a lovely natural spot, with friendly staff. Big pitches, close to nature & activities, and good value. Downsides: dated facilities (sanitary blocks especially), lack of loo roll, dodgy shower temps. Occasional noise from campers & roads.

Liked Nice site with plenty of things for kids to do. Swimming pool shuts quite early so we missed out.

Disliked Sluitingsuren cafetaria… veel vroeger gesloten dan aangegeven op hun folder waardoor we er geen enkele keer gebruik van konden maken wat wel jammer is als je kinderen hebt en de speeltuin net bij de cafetaria ligt en je op deze manier je kinderen zou kunnen laten spelen terwijl je rustig een terrasje doet. Helaas was dat op bijna een volledige week geen optie…

Dat er een zwembad is

Disliked Zwembad mag langer open zijn als het zo warm is .
Cafetaria mag ook open zijn op ne zaterdag avond en er moest meer iets te doen zijn op ne avond .
De minigolf mag ook eens opgefrist worden
Licht aan het voetbal pleintje kunnen de kinderen wat voetballen nog tegen de avond .

Liked There is a nice clean pool. The pool shuts at 6pm which seemed a bit too early. There is a large play area for younger children. The COO waterfalls are nearby and worth a visit. This part of Belgium was beautiful.

Disliked No loo roll at the toilets so you need to take your own in. Washing facilities seemed dated and not enough sinks to wash your dishes for the size of the campsite. Next to a road so depending on where you stay onsite there could be padding traffic through the night.

Liked Really nice campsite, relaxed atmosphere, all facilities were good. The local area is also really worth exploring, staff were great too.

Local attractions

Ten minutes from Camping Les Neufs Prés are the Waterfalls of Coo, reckoned by the campsite team to be the best-known falls in Belgium and a haven for hikers around its foamy heights. An amusement park is at the foot of the falls, along with spectacular views of the Amel Valley and a more active vibe taking on kayaking, cycling or swinging about in the trees. Museums covering the history of the area as well as its role in World War II are in the region too, such as the Bulge Relics Museum four kilometres away at Vielsalm and the Baugnez 44 Historical Center at Malmedy, a much bigger affair also detailing the Bulgey battle. Also worth a look are the Musée de Wanne, telling the tale of Ardenne rural life, and the museum on the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, venue of the Belgian Grand Prix, nearby at Stavelot. A 20-minute drive will take you over the border into Luxembourg City, for swish days around the Grand Ducal Palace, the Place d'Armes square and – camera needed – the Passerelle viaduct.
