- Caravan park in subtropical gardens fronting onto 7km of beach
- In the Coffs Coast Regional Park, 30 minutes' drive from Coffs Harbour
- Pool, paddling pool, hot tub, barbecue area and lorikeet feeding
The subtropical garden setting is spectacular enough. But then there's the seven kilometres of marine park beach the gardens lead on to, in a stunning New South Wales setting on a stretch of colourful coast… bag your holiday time and flit forth immediately to Lorikeet Holiday Park a couple of kilometres from the Mid North Coast town of Arrawarra.
Just off the Pacific Highway half an hour' drive of Coffs Harbour, this park is in hugely scenic surrounds, on the Solitary Islands Coastal Walk and part of the Coffs Coast Regional Park and Moonee Beach Nature Reserve. As you might reckon, this is a popular place for scuba diving, fishing and surfing, and anyone soaring along here for a hol is also within easy reach of hikes around the rainforest and waterfalls in Wedding Bells State Forest, within 20 minutes' drive.
You might reckon this is a top birdwatching spot too… And you don't even have to leave the grounds to see feathered species: the park's gardens attract a lot of birds, and guests can join in with daily lorikeet feeding on site. And in between that and all the aforementioned beach, coastal and rainforest adventures? A pool, paddling pool and hot tub are on site to aid watery hours, alongside a playground and tennis court for more gently active times.
The park also has a recreation room and TV room if you fancy an hour or two indoors; after that, pick up supplies at the mini market to sort supper at the communal barbecue area or at the campers' kitchen.

Local attractions
Leave direct from the site to access the spectacularly scenic Solitary Islands Coastal Walk, along rocky headlands, rich rainforest and postcard-worthy golden beaches on the Coffs coast. Like the rest of this chunk of coast, the Solitary Islands and the surrounding Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve are prime birdwatching spots; you should also see dolphins in the waves off the beaches and the truly eagle-eyed might also spy whales around the headland.
More peaceful times await at Woolgoolga Lake 10 minutes' drive south, a serene place for canoeing, kayaking, swimming and fishing on and in its calm waters… or for lazing on the beach you can stroll over to at low tide.
Heading north, drive for about 45 minutes to reach more world-famed coastal scenery at Yuraygir National Park between Coffs Harbour and Yamba, home to a full 48 beaches as well as hikes along the 40-kilometre Yuraygir coastal walk. To the south, the lively little city of Coffs Harbour has more beaches and – a must for a photo opp – the famed theme park of the Big Banana, one of Australia's first 'Big Things'.
