  • Peaceful site in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
  • A 10-minute drive from Pembroke; 25 minutes from Tenby
  • Firepits and barbecues allowed; dogs and families welcome
'Easy to get to but difficult to leave' is how the folk who own Parke Farm Camping describe the place – have a quick look at a map and the site pics and you'll see exactly where they're coming from. Sandy beaches for swimmers, surfers and coast path ramblers are within a few miles of this pretty Pembrokeshire site – which, by the way, is located within the gorgeous surrounds of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. For town times, historic Pembroke – where there's a railway station, supermarket, pubs and other amenities – is 10 minutes away by car. Those keen on surveying the local seascapes will probably be pleased to know that most of the 186 miles of Pembrokeshire’s coast path are within a similarly accessible distance. Life on site is all quite laidback – families and dogs are welcome (although there's an adults-only area that you can request if you'd prefer a bit of quiet time with your beloved), and there's no problem lighting up firepits and barbecues. Various amenities are on hand to help life run smoothly, including free wifi, a washing-up area, showers and toilets, and there's plenty of space around the place to relax and take in the fresh air. Please note that some sections of the local coast path may be closed when the local MOD firing range is in use. Usually, this is outside of bank holidays, school holidays and weekends, but check online in advance if you want to be sure of access.

Liked Loved the grass layout, beautiful pitches, nice wild grass borders giving a great sense of privacy and seclusion whilst in nature.
We had electric hookup and aware on site.
The showers were hot the toilets clean.
There is a fridge freezer for use, with multiple sinks for washing up.
There is also a tank hot water with free tea, coffee, and milk.
Short drive to the coast for amazing walk and can see the Bridge of Wales and stacks.

Liked Pitch size is great. Plenty of hot water for the shower and wash up. Free tea and coffee offered in the morning. Bring your own wood, plenty of fire pits to use. Bring a torch for the site and toilets.

Disliked The walk way between fields to reach the toilet, needs clearing too many stingy nettles and long grass.not good if you have small children.the water taps also need cutting back so you can reach them without get a bramble caught on clothing.Bins need sign posting they are basically off site behind the shower block.

Liked It was our first time to this campsite & we hope to return. The owners Charles & Tee Tee were extremely helpful & very welcoming. The campsite is very well presented, pitches are separated by well maintained wild flower & grass borders. This gives each pitch a lot of privacy & it’s a beautiful touch. Each pitch is a very good size where we had plenty of room for our large tent, car & still a lot of space to comfortably sit outside. The showers are plentiful & well maintained. There are a number of separate toilet blocks, a communal seating area, fridge/freeer & an area to wash up with plenty of hot water. The campsite is ideally situated approximately 16 miles to both Tenby & Saundersfoot & just a 10 minute drive from the campsite, you can enjoy the Welsh coastlines hidden gems - The Green Bridge & Govans Headland/Chapel. We very much enjoyed our stay at Parke Farm
Camping.

Liked What a wonderful camp site! We couldn’t have asked for more. This is my husband and I’s first time in a motorhome and we chose to explore Pembrokeshire. Parke Farm camping did not disappoint. The owner was so helpful and took us to our pitch and ran through everything on arrival. Later on in our stay he gave us great advice on local walks and, most importantly, a great pub - St Govan’s Inn - in a nearby village.
The facilities were clean - shower and toilet cubicles including a larger one for families, separate toilet block, sink/pot washing area, free tea and coffee every morning, picnic bench area, small shop with essentials - we purchased some lovely fresh eggs for breakfast.
The site is made up of three separate fields and each pitch is neatly cut back and surrounded by wild flowers. We were on a grass pitch with EHU and water so was everything we needed. The owner informed us if our electric lead or water wasn’t long enough he had ones we could borrow. Also if any of our appliances were to trip the electrics (they didnt) he could always up our supply a little.
All in all, an amazing, close to nature, no frills site that we absolutely loved and will definitely visit again in the future.10 out of 10.

Liked Close to Bosherston lakes and coast.
We were rare visitors at the end of September, so we had the site to ourselves.
Nicely laid out pitches, with well cut grass, making great shapes. There is a large area which could be used for a football match. The kids in the summer would love that.

Lots of hot water for shower and washing up.

Disliked Shower and toilet combined in a small room/space.

Local attractions

Tenby (25 minutes' drive), a firm favourite for beachgoing folk, is within easy reach, but quieter, lesser-known sands like Broadhaven South beach (10 minutes) should also be on the itinerary – at this latter spot there's ample opportunity for swimming and sunbathing, or for more active times like canoeing and angling. If you can pull yourself away from the coast for a couple of hours, the rewards are rich indeed. Head for freshwater frolics at Bosherston lily ponds (five minutes' drive), a spectacular National Trust-managed stretch of land with dunes, footpaths and pools where otters dwell. While you're likely to see a lot of wildlife while strolling around, spotting more exotic critters might require a trip to Manor House Wildlife Park (20 minutes). Also inland is Lamphey Bishop's Palace (15 minutes), a ruined ecclesiastical mansion where prelates of yore lived in sumptuous surrounds. And as you'll gather while driving around, historic buildings aren't in short supply around here. Also top of the list are Pembroke Castle (10 minutes), where you can admire tall turrets while cruising by in a rowing boat, and Manorbier Castle (25 minutes), a Norman landmark notable for its gardens, dovecote and watermill.
