Liked: Amazing campsite! Plenty of space to pitch up, showers and bathroom facilities were immaculate, with heated flooring too! The guys at reception were super friendly and helpful and led us to our pitch. It’s about a 10 minute drive into Tenby town centre. The village of Manobier is a 10 minute walk from the campsite, through the woods and onto the amazing beach. We would highly recommend the Castle Inn pub, amazing staff, delicious food and an all round local, warm and cosy pub.

Liked: Great site with good facilities that are cleaned regularly. Our pitch was a great size and not to much on a slant. Lovely walks especially the one to the beach and a close walk to the village that has a pub and shop.
EE phone signal was really good so we didn’t need to pay for WiFi.

Liked: Lovely location - amazing to walk down to the beach/castle and not far driving to beautiful Tenby down the road! Pitch was great & level. Facilities were nice & clean too.

Disliked: Paying £10 for both of us to have WiFi for 2 days as there’s no service at all, which was a shame, but didn’t massively impact our trip.

Liked: Just a 10-minute walk from the campsite, you’ll find a small beach with stunning waves. I went for a morning jog there and saw two surfers already out on the water, catching waves that were absolutely perfect for surfing. The scene was truly breathtaking.

We came to the campsite as five families, and the staff kindly placed us all together so we could enjoy a central gazebo area. This made our time together even more special, and we had a fantastic stay.

One thing that really stood out was the kindness of a staff member named Mark. We had forgotten the key to our roof box and couldn’t open it, but Mark went above and beyond to help us. He was so patient and dedicated, and we were truly touched by his willingness to assist, even when it wasn’t easy. Thanks to him, we were able to enjoy our trip to the fullest.

Nearby, we also visited Pembroke Castle, which was featured in the film Me Before You. There was a special event for children happening at the castle, which made the trip even more fun for the kids. The area has so much to explore, with beautiful places like Tenby close by.

The facilities at the campsite were always clean, and I especially loved the heated floors in the showers – a small detail that made a big difference. After a long day of camping activities, stepping into a warm shower with heated floors was such a treat. It really helped me relax and made me fall in love with this campsite even more.

I would definitely recommend Park Farm Holiday Park to my friends, and I’m sure I’ll be coming back here again and again.

Disliked: One thing to note: while our tent pitch was close to the beach, the toilets were quite far away. We had to walk over a small hill to reach them, which wasn’t ideal, especially if you need to go frequently. If you’re someone who needs to use the toilet often, it might be a good idea to either bring a portable toilet or ask the staff in advance for a pitch closer to the facilities when booking.

Local attractions

Pack the wetsuit, surfboard and other foamy paraphernalia: this part of west Wales has several surrounding sands known for good surf, such as Manorbier beach (best for experienced surfers because of the strong currents), Tenby South and Freshwater West (where scenes in Harry Potter were shot, film fact fans). Jetskiing, kitesurfing, paddleboarding and kayaking are all available locally for a shot or two of more adrenaline, but if your idea of watersports verges on the sedate, you can take a RIB ride or hire a motorboat for a trip around Tenby harbour and Caldey Island to sightsee and species spot: dolphins and seals are often seen here. Fishing? Set your jaws and try to land a shark – quite a few toothy types swim along the south coast of Pembrokeshire because of the warm waters of the Gulf Stream, and a 150lb whopper was landed near Milford Haven in 2011. If the mere thought of sharks is bringing back disturbing childhood memories of a certain film, take a boat out for sea fishing instead from Tenby, Fishguard, Pembroke or Milford Haven, or try one of the shoals of river and stillwater course and game fishing around the county. On land, once you’ve spent the requisite days at Oakwood, Heatherton, Folly Farm and the Dinosaur Park, explorers have plenty of other leisurely options in the area for family days out. The 186 miles of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path can be joined at the far end of Tenby’s South Beach for a five-mile hike east to the golden sands of Saundersfoot and on for another two and a half miles to its finishing point at Amroth, via lots of stopoffs for snaps of seabirds and seals from the cliffs. Little nature fans should like a trip to Tenby’s Manor House Wild Animal Park for all manner of up-close encounters with lemurs, gibbons, meerkats and more, or a trip around the three floors of Ocean Commotion, a play park for kids from tots to ten. Once the kids are suitably bribed/tuckered out, grownups have plenty of pursuits in the area to pick from: try the indoor and outdoor markets at Tenby and the market at Pembroke Dock; a scenic drive west along the coast to cutely small St Davids (well worth the drive), or teeing off at one of Tenby’s top-class golf courses.
