Our site

  • Small-scale woodland site with a relaxed family-friendly vibe
  • A mile from Pembroke town centre; Tenby 20 minutes' drive
  • Barbecues, firepits and well-behaved dogs are welcome
Make a beeline for Glan-Y-Mor Farm Camping, a small-scale spot based among a working farm roughly a mile north of Pembroke and its medieval castle. It has easy access to the spectacular Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, its own private beech woodland with well-established walking paths and firepit areas, as well as views out over the estuary… Add great on-site facilities to that list. There’s a modern toilet and shower block and a useful washing-up area, as well as plenty of space to wander around and explore. Although it’s very peaceful on site, it’s by no means removed from local amenities. The railway stations of Pembroke and Pembroke Dock can both be reached on foot within around 25 minutes or so. Supermarkets, shops, pubs and historic buildings are also within walking distance – so leave the car behind if you fancy. Barbecues and campfires are allowed at this laidback spot, and well-behaved dogs are encouraged to come along too. Looking further afield, Glan-Y-Mor Farm Camping is well-placed for day trips to seaside resorts like Tenby (20 minutes) or to wilder parts of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park like the Angle Peninsula (20 minutes) and St Anne's Head (40 minutes).

What customers say

Great campsite! Lovely quiet woodland, ace clean facilities with good hot showers and communal fridges/kettles. Cath & Adam super friendly & helpful. Short walk to Pembroke town & castle. Minor points about noise/privacy, but overwhelmingly positive, keen to return.

Unpowered gravel motorhome site

Liked Toilet and shower block are great - shower super powerful and hot. The landscaped grass area is attractive and the woodland walk. Good price. Campervan pitch we were on (D) was very level - other reviews here say they are quite sloping so perhaps they've sorted that out.

Disliked Although its close to town which is a bonus, nothing in any of the photos or write-up explains it is right behind an unsightly leisure centre and football pitches which gave the campervan pitches the feel of staying on wasteground. If you're not worried about nice views, then it won't bother you, but that's important to us and we wouldn't have booked if we'd known that. I also didn't receive a welcome text from the owners until 9pm the night we arrived explaining the entrance detour (you have to go through a school entrance to get there - super weird) so we worked that out for ourselves. We decided to just stay for one night and move.

From the manager: A weirdly negative review from an unhappy couple. As you can see from our other reviews our site is very far from a “wasteland”- we have a well cared for and manicured site that is clean and well looked after. Please see our other reviews for more accurate information.
Thanks

Unpowered gravel motorhome site

Liked Gorgeous site. On the farm of my old school so it was a real blast from the past to go there. The owners are lovely and friendly and give you a little tour of the site when you arrive. The site is very picturesque with a bbq area and woodland walks. Gravel pitches were level and well maintained. Great location and walking distance from good pubs and Pembroke Castle. They’ve put a lot of thought in to the design of the site. Toilet block was good an they played music in there!

Disliked Nothing it was great.

Unpowered grass tent site (medium)

Liked Fantastic site. Lovely pitches. Kettle and fridge too which made all the difference.

Disliked Hot water hit and miss. Wheelbarrowing your gear to the pitch is fine in good weather, not so good if it's raining. But overall a fantastic site.

Unpowered grass tent site (small)

Liked Beautiful woodland setting, located within 15 mins walk of Pembroke. Great facilities great showers and with a beautiful communal fire pit / sheltered area overlooking wooded valley

Disliked Noisy neighbours with loud children - not much to blame on the campsite but better pitch arrangements would have helped a lot (separating families / large groups from small groups)

Unpowered gravel motorhome site

Liked Peaceful, nature friendly, not just your typical field of tents and vans. Feeling of European site, lots of trees and shady areas. Convenient for walking into Pembroke.

Disliked Bins need to be emptied regularly - including female sanitary bins. There was no general waste bin resulting in people throwing inappropriate rubbish in recycling bins.

Local attractions

Give your arms a workout (or simply sit back and let someone else do the hard work) at Pembroke Castle (20 minutes' walk), where you can hire rowing boats for outings on the boating lake. Also in the Pembroke area, you could learn more about the region’s maritime history at Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre (five minutes' drive) or inspect the medieval ruins of Lamphey Bishops' Palace (10 minutes). Keeping the kids entertained isn't going to be a problem in this family-friendly part of the world, whether you opt for the trampolines, pedalos, mini land rovers and paintball at Heatherton World of Adventure (15 minutes) or have set your sights on the exotic specimens on show at Manor Wildlife Park (15 minutes). For time by the coast, explore the Angle Peninsula (20 minutes), a peaceful Site of Special Scientific Interest that's dotted with World War II defences, or head to the popular beaches around Tenby (20 minutes) for some time sprawled out on the sand. The small city of St Davids (45 minutes) is a must too and is surrounded by tiny coves and pretty natural harbours.
