On the prowl for a Pembrokeshire park for you and your pride? If your ears prick up at the idea of being next to a top-rated zoo, pounce at the chance to stay at Folly Farm Holiday Park. Pitching up here can save a pretty penny, too: guests at the park who buy a ticket to the zoo qualify for unlimited entry to all Folly Farm's attractions throughout their stay. Although close to beasts and beaches, these well-maintained and spacious grounds make a handy base for all manner of stays – strolls along the Welsh Coast Path, surf lessons in Saundersfoot or offshore jaunts to Caldey Island are all within easy reach. Getting around by road could hardly be more straightforward, as the site has direct access to the A478; it's also possible to take a break from driving and hitch a ride on a local bus that stops a few minutes' walk away. Folly Farm Holiday Park has all the essential amenities you'll need for a comfy stay: toilets, showers, a laundry area and a washing-up area. And on top of that, it's well supplied with scenic vistas too – these mainly come in the form of green Pembrokeshire country views (although you'll also catch glimpses of fairground rides between the trees… and you may even hear the roar of the lions from the zoo next door…) Barbecues are allowed here, as are dogs (a maximum of two per pitch). The nearest supermarket is in Saundersfoot (10 minutes' drive). Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo is home to food outlets ranging from sweet shops to burger bars.

Liked: Good location for ironman weekend - access to Tenby etc Spacious, well laid out pitches with lots of space between vans. Level and gravelled which helped in rain. Site is immaculately clean and toilet/shower block modern and very comfortable. Staff were helpful and accessible to site excellent Large, grass dog exercise area for them to run and site is good to walk around too

Disliked: Would prefer recycling bins to be around the site rather than in one location as makes it easier to get rid of small amounts regularly

Liked: Facilities were brilliant, so clean and tidy. The pitches were extremely well kept. Toilet and shower blocks were spotless. Washing up facilities were always well maintained. Staff upon arrival were kind and professional. At the time that we stayed, it was quiet which made it a very calm and relaxing stay!😊

Liked: Folly Farm has always been a avourite for my daughter and myself. We have stayed before inthe wagons, which are lively, but this was our first time in a camper. The pitches are so spacious it was lovely and peaceful. The facilities were lovely, clean and well maintained. It was lovely to hear the sounds of the animals, love the lions. Paying once for muliple entries to the zoo was a fantasti bonus meaning we could spend more time in diferrnt sections of yhe park. Fabulous stay, will be booking again soon ♥️

Want a break from the animals? Grownups in need of some fresh air and gentle exercise can partake in a putt at Trefloyne Golf Course (20 minutes' drive), while families fond of history have both Pembroke Dock Maritime Museum and Pembroke Castle 20 minutes away. Carew Castle (15 minutes) has more heritage to explore: the stones here date back to Norman times, and there's also a centuries-old tidal mill to peruse. Fancy some time on the coast? After paddling and ice creams in Saundersfoot (10 minutes), set sail for Caldey Island (15 minutes' drive, then a short ferry crossing), a goodly green outcrop maintained by a bunch of Cistercian monks. Alternatively, head west for beach days on the several sightly sands around St Bride's Bay (30 minutes). Folly Farm may well be the main event if you’re staying here, but kids can also be taken to Tenby's Dinosaur Park (10 minutes), Oakwood Theme Park (10 minutes) or for a ride on the Gwili Steam Railway (35 minutes).
