What customers say

This campsite's got private, well-spaced pitches in a quiet woodland, loved for their seclusion & size. Facilities are clean & functional, a bit rustic, though unisex toilets with slatted doors lacked privacy for some. Covered picnic tables & fire pits with firewood are a bonus. Great value, peaceful, beautiful surroundings. Mostly loved it, with many keen to return despite minor hot water snags.

Unpowered grass and earth tent, campervan or trailer tent site (XXL)

Liked This was my 3rd stay on this lovely small site .
The pitches are very private which I love and a fire pit and covered bench are included.
This is the prefect site for a quiet low key and peaceful time . A stones throw from Cresswell quay and a 5 minute drive from Carew castle

Unpowered grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent site (large)

Liked Lovely quiet location spacious and private pitch clean facilities having your own shelter and picnic table means less stuff to cart along in the car ! Well located for all local attractions and beaches. No electric no problem as we are equipped to be off grid but …..

Disliked I had no phone signal and with no WiFi either that was a bit too disconnected for me ! Unable to research where to go or contact family back home …

Unpowered grass and earth tent, campervan or trailer tent site (small)

Liked Covered picnic table- made the periodically wet stay very happy!
Very secluded pitches.
Fantastic workmanship with in-house made shower block (lots of hot water) and vvwry adequate communal area for washing up and phone charging. Very unique well kitted out campsite with lovely neighbours- great minds think alike!

Disliked Hot water was very noisy to run so felt guilty having late night showers. Pitched are 9 years old so the bark around/ under the picnic table area isn’t fresh, still completely serviceable!

Local attractions

First port of call for all should be Cresswell Quay, 10 minutes' walk away – home to the local pub and a great place for watching boats bob about or launching your own kayaks. Carry on the coastal vibe by planning trips to some of Pembrokeshire’s spectacular beaches: the traditional resort of Tenby (20 minutes’ drive), famed Barafundle Bay (25 minutes) and Freshwater West (half an hour), home to surf waves and a cracking mobile café, are some of the top picks. If Pembrokeshire’s beaches are famed, then so (quite rightly) are its castles. Lovely lakeside Carew Castle is the closest at just over five minutes’ drive, and it’s also worth taking a look at those in Pembroke (15 minutes) and Manorbier (20 minutes). Should the kids be demanding a bit more adventure in their lives, shuttle them off for days out at Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, Manor Wildlife Park or Heatherton World of Activities (all 15 minutes’ drive).
