What customers say

Great facilities, stunning views & heaps to do, especially for cyclists. Campers rave about the friendly staff, spotless site, and beautiful surrounds. Despite the odd dodgy weather, it’s a cracker of a holiday, with many keen to come back. Just a heads-up on the cafe's early closing and the odd noisy neighbour.

Powered concrete slab campervan or trailer tent site

Liked The facilities are some of the best I’ve come across at a campsite. Clean and modern, cannot be faulted.
Really helpful and friendly staff. The chap in the activity centre went out of his way to repair my daughter’s bike and the warden was lovely and welcoming.
Unfortunately, the weather ruined our stay. Never again will I ignore a yellow rain warning🤦‍♂️ We had to cut our weekend short to return home early, everything including ourselves were soaked to the bone. We will return when the weather returns.
Great view and loads of activities available. We had breakfast in the cafe which had a limited menu but was a pleasant escape from the rain.
Great kids playground. I’ll definitely bring a fishing rod next time.

Disliked Nothing.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked We visited Llys Yr Fran for our camping holiday this year and I have to say we loved it!! We arrived and went to the reception where we were met by two lovely ladies (one named Diane who had emailed me the day before) I was given my welcome pack which was filled with all relevant information you need for your stay. We decided to enjoy a coffee in the cafe which was delicious. The camp is very tidy and well maintained, everything is easily accessible and within a reasonable walking distance (especially when raining)
We hired a bike for our son on our first day and he thoroughly enjoyed the pump track and then rode around the reservoir which was very well signed posted regarding the different level of track types.
We were able to enjoy a very tasty breakfast one morning as the weather was particularly bad so we treated ourselves to breakfast which was very nice and time efficient.
The whole site is very picturesque and lovely. We will definitely be back.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked We had a fantastic stay at Llys-y-fran Lakeview campsite. Really friendly staff around the site, always took the time to say hello. A special mention to the camp warden, she was so helpful on check in and even allowed us to change our allocated pitch to one of our choice. (thank you so much)
The facilities are great, toilets, showers and washing up are all really close to the camping field. Site well lit at night. We had great fun on the Bike trails and enjoyed walking the lake. The on site café in the visitors centre served food all day and even boxed us up a meal for our tea to take away to our tent.
Thank you all for great stay!

Local attractions

There’s a lot to do on site, for sure – but there’s also plenty to keep you busy when venturing out into your surroundings. The Pembrokeshire coast, for example, is less than half an hour’s drive away, for beach days in the likes of Broad Haven (half an hour’s drive), the ever-popular Tenby or its neighbour Saundersfoot (both 40 minutes). Pembrokeshire’s packed with historic places to visit too, including the lovely little city of St Davids (40 minutes), with its ancient cathedral and Bishops’ Palace. Carew Castle & Tidal Mill (35 minutes) is also worth a visit, to hear the tale of the castle’s 2000-year history and see the only restored tidal mill in Wales. If that’s not the kind of thing your kids are keen on, perhaps instead plan trips to the Pembrokeshire Llama Sanctuary (15 minutes), Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo (half an hour) or the action-packed Heatherton World of Activities (35 minutes) for things like paintballing, ziplines and crazy golf.
