Powered grass site (adults only)

Liked: Beautifully kept, quiet rural site with views over the estuary. Spacious pitches. Great for dogs with walking fields adjoining site. Fabulous self catering kitchen facilities if needed including sink, microwave, toaster, kettle and eggs fresh from the farm! Great shower / toilet facilities. Such a lovely welcome from the owner Sian, who could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Great pub in the village serving food, only a 5 minute stroll. A bit of a gem of a campsite in beautiful south wales. Will be returning.

Local attractions

While Laugharne’s visible from the park, it’s a 25-minute drive away around the estuary to this pretty village famed for its castle and poet Dylan Thomas’ writing shed. For more of the area's history, National Trust attractions further away – like the Roman-era Dolaucothi Gold Mines (an hour’s drive) and the handsome house and park at Dinefwr (50 minutes) – should also feature on your to-do list. Also inland are many adventures, including the mountain biking trails of Brechfa Forest (55 minutes); swing back to the seaside and cycle more sedately along the Millennium Coastal Path if thrill-seeking on two wheels sounds a little bit too much for your tastes. Of course, you’re also never far from the coast in this part of Wales… Pembrey Country Park’s miles and miles of sandy beach are a 45-minute drive away, and the shorelines of the Gower Peninsula and Pembrokeshire are also less than an hour away.
