Liked: Upon arrival the owner was helpful and very welcoming, and because we failed to arrive on Friday due to traffic he offered the night to pass over to the next time we were visiting which was really nice, accommodation was really well looked after with toilet and shower facilities

Disliked: Showers were piping hot, too hot to stand under the water

Liked: One of the best run sites I’ve been to, as well as an awesome location with wonderful walks and great views it is immaculately managed by very friendly folk. Toilets are very clean and when you have a friendly well run site people seem to respect everything so much more, equalling a lovely place to stay.

From the manager: Good Evening Paul, We appreciate constructive feedback from any of our guests but this however is not one of them. Cim farm is a family campsite as stated on Pitch Up, and we pride ourselves on the fact that we provide a safe enviroment with wide open green spaces for our customers. We have a no music policy after 10pm as you were told verbally, and it is stated clearly on the instruction sheet that was handed to you on arrival. You were told on 2 occasions at 10.30pm simply to turn the music off and by no means go to bed?? as children were trying to sleep. As for the electric going off, this affected the whole LL53 Postcode which includes hundreds of houses and businesses due to a fault on one of the substations near Abersoch. You were kept informed by myself with all the updates as they came in from the power company. Sorry you didnt enjoy our wonderful park, but im sure you will find one more suited to your needs

Liked: Booked last minute and found this gem of a place. Excellent site and facilities. Really easy to get to and has lovely views of the beach. The toilet and shower facilities were spotless, lots of hot water for showers and pot washing too. Our 18 month old enjoyed all the space to run about and the little on site park with slides. Thanks for having us and hope to see you again!

Liked: We really liked the site, friendly owners and spotlessly clean facilities. The fully serviceable pitch was perfectly level. The views and walks were perfect 👌🏻

Disliked: Unfortunately when we arrived the weather turned with horrendous winds. But I’d like to add this would not stop us returning.

Liked: Really nice and friendly site. Neil was really helpful on our arrival. Facilities were excellent and the pitch was nice and level. Our favourite thing was the scenery. Spectacular views over the peninsula and towards Snowdonia.

Local attractions

In the immediate surrounding area, there's Abersoch Golf Club (10 minutes' drive) if you fancy a game or two with sea views, plus top-rated local beaches for swimming, watersports and picnics like Porth Ceiriad (10 minutes) and Porth Neigwl (10 minutes), the second of which is renowned for its favourable surfing conditions. Many of these can be comfortably reached on foot via the Wales Coast Path. A little further along the peninsula, you'll come to Pwllheli, a harbour town with an attractive marina that's well worth a visit. Heading in the other direction, Criccieth Castle (30 minutes) has turrets and towers that are hard to beat – although Harlech's imposing coastal fortress (an hour) certainly gives it a run for its money. For more family-friendly days out, head to the pretty Italian-style coloured houses and cafés at Portmeirion (30 minutes), or venture out into Snowdonia National Park for mountain peaks, lakeside walks or to experience the zipwires, woodland rollercoasters and other exhilarating rides at Zip World Fforest near Betws-y-Coed (an hour and 15 minutes).
