  • Coastal site in Llanddulas, just off the A55 North Wales Expressway
  • A 15-minute drive from Llandudno and 25 minutes from Snowdonia
  • Stunning views; a short walk from the north Wales Coast Path
If you’re off on a jaunt to the north Wales coast, max out your sea-viewing times by settling among the smart facilities at Bron-Y-Wendon Holiday Park in the little village of Llanddulas. If this place were any closer to the Irish Sea it’d be getting its toes wet: there are views out over the waves and towards Llandudno’s Great Orme from all around the park, and a rocky beach with access to the scenic coastal path is just a short stroll away. Getting in, out and around is straightforward, however you choose to travel. The sandy beaches of Colwyn Bay and Rhos on Sea are 20 to 30 minutes away by bus; there's also access to Llandudno by bus from the village for more car-free days out. The site is just off the A55 North Wales Expressway, and a mere couple of minutes’ walk from the north Wales Coast Path for bike rides and walks (with a furry pal by your side should you wish, as dogs are welcome on site). Over in the village centre (10 minutes’ walk away) are a pub, restaurant, garage and chip shop (essential when the seaside is within walking distance…) Facilities on site include a launderette and a wifi service, along with a play area to keep the kids entertained while the grownups put their feet up. Days out around these parts can be as leisurely or as active as you like. Within a 15-minute drive you can be playing a round of golf or pootling around Bodnant Garden; drive a little further to ride the surf at Adventure Parc Snowdonia or tackle Zip World's adrenaline-pumping offerings.

What customers say

Great spot with ace sea views, easy to reach from the A55. Lovely clean loos, super helpful staff, and heaps of room. Some reckon the road/train's a bit loud, but most say it's fine. Perfect for seeing North Wales.

Powered gravel motorhome site (no awning)

Liked Very clean and I felt safe. The staff were lovely and it had all the facilities I needed. A short walk to the sea and a shell garage around the corner for food/drinks. The local village had a pub and an Indian restaurant too. The pitches were nicely spread out and I got privacy

Disliked You could hear the main road and trains going by. There’s not much to do unless you have a car or get the bus but I relaxed or walked instead.

Liked Sea views, easy access to Llandudno, Conwy, Towyn market, Colwyn Bay etc Clean and warm toilets and showers, nearby pub and shop.

Disliked Noise from road and railway line, although rail noise wasn't as bad as the road. Earwigs in the water tap.

Fully-serviced gravel caravan site (no awning)

Liked The central location, and the views were great, the facilities were clean and we'll serviced, arrival was fantastic, young lady showed us to our pitch, and made sure we were correctly sited before she went back. The site is secure, key barriers in and out.

Disliked It is quite noisy being located next to the busy A55 and a train line, you will need earplugs for a good nights sleep. The site is mainly sloping, so chocks may be needed.

Powered gravel motorhome site (no awning)

Liked Cleanliness of toilet and shower block . Site was quiet. Travelled alone for work . Sunset was stunning Monday night . So relaxing and enjoyed the view.

Disliked Sound of traffic constant through the night.
Had to use a very long code to enter toilet block between 5.00pm until 9 in the morning. Maybe a fob like the barrier would have been easier and faster.
If you wanted wi fi you had to pay . I used my unlimited data instead as I needed to work on report nightly for work.

Local attractions

Bit of gentle activity? There are of course some cracking coast path walks just up the road, and there’s a golf course five minutes’ drive away in Abergele. Bodnant Garden (15 minutes’ drive) is an excellent place for a wander among gorgeous floral displays, and it just happens to be home to the Welsh Food Centre as well for stocking up on tasty treats while you’re there. For creature-viewing outings, take a wander around the Welsh Mountain Zoo (10 minutes) or scoot up to SeaQuarium Rhyl (15 minutes). If you’d rather try to catch glimpses of passing birds and wildlife out in the open, keep eyes peeled on walks in the Snowdonia National Park; Betws-y-Coed (35 minutes) is a good place to start walks. If you’re up for local thrills, swoosh down the slides at SC2 waterpark (15 minutes), take to the mountain-ringed surf lagoon at Adventure Parc Snowdonia (25 minutes) or shoot along the fastest zipline in the world at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry (35 minutes).
