  • A five-minute drive to Clywedog Dam; 20 minutes to Hafren Forest
  • Dog-friendly site with individual bathroom and kitchen facilities
Who’s joining you on your mid Wales glamping trip? Friends? Family? The family dog? A whole gang? Just your other half? Whoever’s on the guest list, you’ll be able to spend some proper quality time together at Cwm Cwtch – each of the glamping pitches here is completely private to give you plenty of space to soak up the fresh air and the gorgeous views over the Powys countryside. Each of those pitches is securely fenced off, so the kids and dogs can play safely – and each one also has its own facilities, including a clean and bright shower and toilet, and a kitchen with gas cooker, cool box and all the bits and bobs you need to cook up a meal. This being glamping, you may of course prefer to do a bit of barbecuing – and that’s easily done too as you’ll be provided with a firepit/barbecue (with extra wood available to buy), a picnic table and solar powered lights (although a torch is still a very good idea). Supplies for whatever meals you choose can be picked up at the shops or market a mile away in Llanidloes (which also has pubs and takeaways). Life here is very laidback, so expect your break to be thoroughly relaxing – beds will be made up ready for your arrival, and you’ll be provided with all sorts of useful things from towels to blankets to sun loungers (just the thing for an afternoon with your feet up looking out for red kites and buzzards overhead
)

Pabell Cwm bell tent (four person)

Liked: We loved this beautiful location (an entire field to ourselves with lovely views across the valley on a sheep farm in mid-Wales) and the excellent facilities. On the pitch there were two, excellent quality bell tents on level ground which included beds, bedding and cosy blankets which you could take outside in the evening to keep warm while sitting around the fire/barbecue. There was a kitchen area (cooker and gas provided), plates, glasses, cutlery etc., and three seating areas: an undercover table and chairs, a picnic bench and a barbecue area with wooden benches and extra camping chairs too. There's a washing line and box of toys too. We enjoyed the lovely, hot shower, the flushable loo and outside mains tap which were part of the pitch. Everything was very clean. The owner, Jeanette, is really friendly and helpful: she provided us with lots of useful information about the surrounding area beforehand so that we could plan our trip, met us on arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. Altogether, this was the happy, peaceful break we needed!

Pabell Cwm bell tent (four person)

Liked: Everything was perfect, from the hosts to the place. What a beautiful area too. There were all the facilities you need for a perfect stay(campers kitchen, toilet and shower for personal use). The bell tent is in a massive field all on its own, which was a big bonus. Top marks 😁

Disliked: Nothing
