  • Luxury glamping units with private bathrooms and kitchens
  • A 20-minute drive from the coast and mountains
  • Peaceful wildlife haven with a lake, stream and stunning views
Set in the Ceredigion countryside and directly on National Cycle Route 82, Go Eco Glamping is a splendid base for exploring by bike. It’s also just 10 minutes’ drive away from the lovely little university town of Lampeter and 20 minutes’ drive away from both the stunning Ceredigion coast and the Cambrian mountains. There are many beaches and seaside villages to visit from here, including the likes of Aberaeron (25 minutes’ drive away) and New Quay (half an hour’s drive away), known for its dolphin-spotting boat tours. Penbryn, Mwnt and Tresaith are other nice and (generally) not-too-crowded spots for a day trip. The luxury yurts at Go Eco Glamping are widely spaced out in a wildflower meadow with views towards the hills. On the raised deck, there is a bathroom and kitchen. Catch up on sleep in the kingsize bed or unwind on the sofa, with feet propped up near the woodburning stove. There are also indoor and outdoor dining areas at each yurt, along with a firepit with a grill and skillet for alfresco cooking. Completely off-grid, the site is most definitely a wildlife haven too, with a lake and a stream on site.

Local attractions

With such luxury at base it might be tempting to stay put, but there are some pretty sights around to complement your stay when you do fancy it. For example, you could amble to Cae Hir Gardens in 35 minutes (it’s a five-minute drive if you'd rather) then reward yourself with a cuppa and slice of homemade cake in the tearoom. Walks around the 18th-century Llanerchaeron mansion (20 minutes by car) cover woodland, parkland, walled gardens and a lake – or the Ceredigion Coast Path is 20 minutes away if you’d prefer views of the Cardigan Bay coast while you stroll. Brechfa Forest (25 minutes) has woodland walks and mountain bike trails for those that don't mind getting a bit muddy. Add to the memories made during your stay by opting for a dolphin-spotting boat trip from nearby seaside towns Aberaeron (20 minutes) or New Quay (half an hour). Make a day of it by sticking around for some beach time or giving watersports a bash, then heading to a local pub or restaurant for a seaside supper.
