What customers say
A spacious, peaceful campsite with great views, near beaches and walks. Loved the open-air showers, communal kitchen and friendly hosts. Good value, but some found it basic for the price, with portaloos and rubbish disposal issues. Ideal for a back-to-basics, nature escape.

Loved it 5 stars 🌟
Orchard 1 bedroom cabin
Liked Beautiful secluded location. Our neighbours were sheep. Cabin was clean, tidy with all bed linen and towels provided. Basic tea/coffee and sugar provided. Don't forget your milk. It was just a night stop for us so we didn't take advantage of the kitchenette with its cooking facilities. Would have loved to use the wood burner but it was 18° last night. Composting outside toilet is great although a bit smelly. Loved the outside shower over an old enamel bath. Really clever gas water heater heats the shower water. Felt like being one with nature showering outside.
Disliked Not a dislike but more of a "just be aware"....beautiful secluded location = you're miles from anywhere. We ended up driving into Aberystwyth for dinner.
Couple of other things if i were to be super critical.....the 2 steps leading onto the decking are different heights. There's plenty of room to add a 3rd step which would make it so much easier to use and also allow them to be the same heights.
The other thing is that we had taken our 2 small dogs (one is 15 and the other is 2). They are well behaved and slept in crates at night. There's no balustrade around the decking and a 2ft drop so whilst our 2 year old dog would launch herself off of it, we had to keep our eye on our older fog as she would have hurt herself if she'd have fallen off.
I know that this accommodation is really aimed at a romantic getaway but many couples have dogs so thought I'd just mention it.

Liked At first the site looks respectable but that was quickly ruined by a lady who lives in a tent at the top left of the field
Disliked As a respectable camper we came to the site to enjoy a peaceful evening in front of our fire, this was ruined by a lady who lives on site who was very rude to us. We then couldn’t not sleep as there was absolutely disgusting sexual noises coming from her caravan which is sited at the top left of the site. Over priced and disgusting behaviour. Please avoid! Especially if you have children

From the manager: Really sorry you felt this way. A member of our team asked if you could turn down your music (politely) so it didn’t disturb the other campers because the site is a quiet, family friendly site, we allow groups to stay with the trust that they follow the site rules.

Liked Spacious field, clean site, can see the sea. The location between Aberystwyth and Borth is convenient and close to some of the best cliff and beach walks and views in the country.
The kitchen facilities and the open-roof hot shower were wonderful.
Generally people were very respectful and quiet.
Disliked Two lots of people next to us had dogs running loose, which is not permitted on the site.
