Meadow electric grass & gravel pitches

  • Peaceful park next to the River Forth, two miles from Aberfoyle
  • In Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, a half-hour drive from Stirling
  • Well-kept pitches with direct access to Loch Ard Forest; dogs welcome
If you’re setting off for Stirlingshire with your eye on finding lots of alfresco activities, you should certainly consider Cobleland Campsite as a base. A couple of miles south of Aberfoyle, this peaceful park is in the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, just on the edge of the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. That setting means miles and miles of walking and cycling trails stretch out through the surrounding area, with fishing and golf close by too – and watersports, treetop trails, cliff jumping and the like for more intrepid guests. And in fact you don't have to travel far to get started on soaking up the spectacular scenery – you can simply stick around on site, where oak trees tower over the pitches and there’s a backdrop of pretty forest views with the River Forth running along one side of the site. Just beyond the river are paths taking you straight out into Loch Ard Forest for a woodland wander or a dog walk if you’ve brought your pet with you. The pitches at Cobleland are well tended and spacious, with access to all the essential amenities including a launderette, a washing-up area and chemical disposal as well as bathrooms with toilets, showers and disabled facilities. Aberfoyle (five minutes’ drive) has a small supermarket for supplies, plus several places to eat and drink.

What customers say

Lovely spot by the river & woods, super clean facilities & friendly staff. Spacious sites, heaps of walks/cycling. Great coffee & pizza van, though some pitches are a bit cosy and noise can be an issue.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked Everything about it. The park is beautiful and so well maintained, the views are stunning and it is a little bit of paradise.
Toilet and shower facilities are always clean and that’s not easy to do when the park is so busy. The place is tranquil and really relaxing. This is going to be a regular place for us to relax and unwind. I have recommended the park to family and friends.
The shop is well stocked and nothing is too much bother.

Disliked Nothing, I loved everything about it.

Meadow powered grass and gravel site

Liked Enjoyed the campsite, clean and tidy. Shop, good bean coffee and food available on site and popular.

Walks and cycle routes close by campsite.

Disliked On arriving back late from cinema the barrier was down. Not so much a dislike but wasn't told. However, I understand this is probably to prevent noise at night.

Liked Fab location, beautifully clean showers, quiet and calm, very friendly hosts!

Disliked The barrier to the site is closed at 10pm, which if you are out later could be an issue. However, you can always park outside and walk in :)

Meadow powered grass and gravel site

Liked Good location, close to Aberfoyle. Fifteen minutes cycle each way. Nice woodland and river adjoining the site.

Disliked Pitches very close together, a bit hectic with kids running round e-motrobikes and e scooters. We was back to back with tents and other camper vans. Unfortunately our freezer packs where stolen from the shared freezer overnight, dont leave anything un-attended..
