What customers say
Fantastic spot with cracking views. Staff are legends, and the pub's a ripper for a feed. Facilities are a bit rough around the edges and could do with a spruce-up, especially the loos and showers. Still, dead good value for what you get.

Very basic facilities, friendly quiet site.
Powered grass and gravel caravan site
Liked Lovely setting and relaxed atmosphere. Good food in the pub.
Disliked Services are very limited. Only one working shower and 2 toilets. Chemical waste facility is inadequate…a manhole cover you have to lift and which was almost full with no water hose.

Extremely basic camping in a beautiful location
Unpowered grass tent site (family)
Liked Beautiful scenery. Friendly pub staff. You can charge your mobile phone in the pub.
Disliked I was expecting a camp site with a pub, but this is a pub with a camp site. The camp site is very much an afterthought. There are no washing up facilities. You have to do your dishes in cold water on a pile of stones in a field. It feels like this could so easily be rectified. There's a lot of outdoor space and there's an outbuilding which is full of trash that is ripe for conversion into a camping kitchen. I saw rats running in and out of that a couple of times. I mean it's the countryside, so it's understandable, but it just added to the general impression of an uncared-for place. The showers and toilets are dirty-looking. They are cleaned regularly, but the decor is such that you have the impression of ingrained muck. Also one toilet seat has a massive crack. It makes people not want to sit down, plus the lighting is poor. As a result I sat in other people's wee twice! I would pay more to enjoy a clean shower block and a camping kitchen. Attention to detail is lacking. A toilet seat does not cost much!

The location outweighs any negatives.
Unpowered grass tent site (two person)
Liked The location is outstanding. It is so beautiful there and the sound of the curlew adds to the magic. We were made to feel very welcome at check-in. It was great to be able to have a bbq and campfire. The toilets and showers were fine. We loved it and plan to return.
Disliked There were no washing up facilities. I understand the hope that people will eat in the pub especially given the short tourist season for us here in Ireland. But when you're travelling around with a tent rather than a camper, it's extremely useful.

Liked Great location and fantastic views. Level pitches. Pub with food and drinks onsite. We had electric and water on our pitch.
Not five star but has potential.
Disliked Sadly the toilets let it down…only two toilets and two showers and they were not clean with no toilet paper.. but basic and usable.
No campers kitchen.

Lovely little place but stay away from camping at the edge of the sea
Unpowered grass tent site (two person)
Liked It is in a lovely location and lots to do near by. You can have a camp fire and it’s so far from any main roads you have the constant traffic noise.
Disliked We was so lucky to get right next to the sea as the place was empty when we arrived but this came with so many people constantly walking up to our tent. We had a wind break to section off our bbq and fire but this didn’t stop them. Also no pitch allocation so you would find new people would turn up and squash into a small space just to be next to the sea and then you feel like you have no space. No curfew so we had nights were the people next to us were so loud in to the early hours.

Liked The view
Disliked The rest. Paid in advance or would not have stopped. £30 daylight robbery...
The toilets and showers were Disgusting.
No excuses, if you are making hundreds of euros a night then the facilities should be useable.
Give it a wide berth ...
