What customers say
A peaceful, family-run spot near Armagh. Offers good value with spacious pitches, clean facilities, a playground, and a communal kitchen. Some mention a basic setup and narrow access road, but friendly owners are a plus. Great for families.

Lovely site & views, delightful birdsong, and a considerate host.

Liked We received details of our plot number (and the all important number for the Campers' kitchen) on the morning of our scheduled arrival, as previously indicated. Joanne came over to introduce herself and check everything was all right very soon after she was free from her prior engagement, which was good to see.
The pitches are VERY spacious, and considerately laid out, with very reasonable distances to the EHUs. For the most part, a lot of effort has been put into making level nearly all of the pitches with EHUs, which is no mean feat on the rolling hills of Armagh. It was much appreciated!
The Campers' kitchen is a wonderful facility, with two sinks for washing up, some crockery for communal use - PLEASE wash up if you use them!, a Microwave, a toaster, and an electric kettle. Fabulous! There are also two small tables with 3 seats at each, so you can eat in there, if you so wish.
Although we didn't use the play area (haven't done for over 50 years - ha ha!), there had clearly been a great deal of thought put into the number of climbing frames, swings, scooters, pedal-carts, etc., to cater for the families who use it.
And, as a precautionary measure, there are notices to remind people to keep any barbecues at least 18" above the grass.
When we arrived, there were several families there (in tents), and the children were wonderfully behaved in keeping away from "the grey nomads". And, noise levels were significantly reduced, indeed almost minimal, from about 8.30pm, even though it was a bright, sunny evening. (My compliments to the families involved!)
When a French couple arrived late on the Sunday night, Joanne went out of her way to ensure they could make onward bookings for other sites during their trip around the island of Ireland. It was noticeable to us, that she spoke extra clearly to enable them to understand what she was saying. (When we spoke to them later, they expressed (again) their appreciation of how she had welcomed them.)
Disliked The Toilet and Shower block - as you go in,
* at the left-most end, screened by a partition board, are the urinals, and three wash basins;
* immediately ahead are the toilet cubicles, and some more wash basins - no sex discrimination here!; and,
* at the right-most end, is the single shower.
There is no private cubicle where someone could have, say, a stand-up wash, or wet shave at a sink.
Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I prefer segregation for Men and Women's toilet facilities. I understand that such facilities cost money, but I would hope that some planning for the future would include such enhancements.
And this next bit is NOT the fault of the Little Acres Campsite, but I have to mention it...
Access to the site is up a narrow country lane, so caution is important, especially as you approach a bend or hidden dip; thankfully, there were no racing-car drivers about.)

Poor facilities, but at least on our visit they were clean.
Fully-serviced grass and gravel caravan site
Liked Very quiet campsite in a beautiful landscape.
Disliked There was a single steel clad industrial toilet block with men and women sharing the same cramped toilets. Toilet block was cold and the hand driers did not work, nor were there any hand towels.

From the manager: Hi
Our toilet facilities are communal with separate toilets and showers. In the near future we aim to provide another toilet block most likely with ladies and gents separate areas. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of the toilet block. Its unfortunate you found them cold; maybe something to do with the time of year (April). Hand dryers working perfectly.

Liked Thought the owners were nice, campsite is small but has everything you would need.Due to a storm, my air tent, with all its contents got lifted and blown away.we had to abandon camp.kind fellow campers helped us(owners did not).winds were so high we had to leave tent in the only sheltered place, the shed.i got sick, developed a fever and flu(possible chest infection)let owners know the circumstances.they said tent would be fine where it was until I was able to get it.They were not fine with it, as they proceeded to message me while I was in bed with fever of 39.2°C. I got there to find that they had dragged my expensive tent across the stone gravel.with a fever and no one to help me I took nearly 2 hours to empty out the tent, they try to fold it up on my own until I broke down crying and asked 2 men that were there if they could please help me.which they kindly did.I will not be spending money with them in future which is a pity as I really liked the site. But I refuse to give people like that my custom.

From the manager: Stormy weather normally doesn't gain favourable reviews. So there was a storm , we were not on site at this particular time but the wind lifted the 2 ladies tent, other campers helped them .
I was contacted by one of them after the incident to say they had left their tent in our communal area; i said that would be ok until the next day. However 2 days later i asked for it be removed as its a communal area for campers and it was blocking the thoroughfare. The lady was upset at my request and was extremely angry and rude.
We cannot plan ahead for storms or campers falling ill. Circumstances in this case were unfortunate but some factors are just out of our hands.

Liked Lovely area, nice and quiet. Kids loved having the park to play on while we set tents up. Kitchen lovely and clean and toilets/shower room were spotless bar the massive tarantula on the wall but thankfully he didn’t stay long. 5 minutes away from shops which came in handy when we realised we’d forgotten bits. Unfortunately we had to leave a day early due to wind weather warnings the morning of checking out
