What customers say
This farm campsite offers a ripper experience with loads of friendly animals, including alpacas and llamas, often wandering into the camping areas. Sites are flat, and guests love the chilled vibe and being able to pick their own spot. Hosts are always described as super friendly and welcoming. Facilities are basic, but most found them clean. Some noted the airport nearby, with the odd plane drone, and a few said the place looked a bit rustic when they first rolled up. Great for a cruisy, back-to-basics farm stay.

Liked We like how welcoming the owners were we had a lovely chat to them when we brought our honey.
We enjoyed having a wonder around the animals, Ernie the Emu made us chuckle, along with the young alphas they were great to watch.
Toilet were clean, site was quite not overly busy.
Planes went over as expected but didnt bother us in the slightest.
Great to hear showers are coming soon.

Liked Loved being near the Alpacas, site was quiet and was a bonus to have a couple of toilets . Lovely pub a short walk away . Definitely value for money.
Disliked As usual I didn’t read previous reviews so being so close to a landing strip freaked me out a bit . Was woken very early by a plane taking off.

Quirky campsite, get a spot next to the alpaca field if you can!

Liked Animals were really cool, this was a great experience and kids especially would love this. Loved the relaxed vibe, considering its location near to the airport, between planes it was very quiet and felt away from the city. The planes actually ended up being pretty cool to watch, despite the occasional noise (and it is very occasional). Pitches were a great size and loved that you can pretty much pitch where you like. Owners were very friendly. Toilets were nice and clean, wish there was loo roll, however they've mentioned that people steal them so bring your own, but surely it's a tiny minority and it's not that bad. Fair enough if it is a big problem, just remember to bring your own in that case! Overall a fun, quirky experience, near lots of great places.
Disliked I do think this place would benefit from a bit of a tidy up and that alone would improve it greatly. It's a working farm so the equipment you'd expect to be there is fine, but the car and trailer in the outer edges with weeds growing through bring the look down for me personally. But if you like a rustic look then you won't mind.
I did also count more than 10 active pitches, especially when you factor in the couple of static buildings. However, we did stay on a busy sunny bank holiday weekend so it's probably less busy out of those conditions and was still not exactly 'busy'.

Loved the Alpacas
Disliked Not much to dislike, it’s basic but you know that before you book.
Some people have complained about the airplanes, you’re near the airport so you can expect planes. We found it quite nice to watch the planes, there we less than I expected being an August bank holiday

Liked Chris the owner was very welcoming..
Disliked Wasn’t told about being under the main landing strip of Bournemouth Airport so very noisy!!..
Very basic toilets, no toilet rolls supplied or hand drying facilities…
Unfortunately my van and myself got covered in ants…
No real access locally to the River Stour as described…
Couldn’t wait to leave to be honest..
Sorry not for me..😢

From the manager: Sorry you did not enjoy your stay, the information on pitchup clearly states close to Bournemouth airport and great for the air show.
The river is just 2mins walk away.
You parked so close to the hedge so not surprised about the ants but plenty of space for you to move!
The toilets are proper flushing toilets which are clean, hand soap is provided, toilet roll is not supplied due to people stocking up there own cv / motorhomes.
