Liked Great location, very quiet and peaceful with wonderful views, spotless facilities and a great price, but for me the best part is the young lady,Gemma, that owns/runs the site she is so upbeat and passionate about the little piece of paradise that she’s creating it’s a joy to see. I can highly recommend staying here and look forward to returning. It’s a 10/10 from me

Warm, inviting and nostalgic camping at its best.
Unpowered grass and earth tent or motorhome site
Liked This is a gem of a site. For anyone looking to properly unwind this spacious site is ultra-quiet, un-busy, un-hurried, has a warm and mellow vibe, lovely woodland views and just the sound of bird life to complete the picture. Its rustic nature may not be for all, but I believe this simply adds to its charm and homely feel which will attract visitors just looking for original, authentic camping with a nostalgic feel, and without all the bells and whistles to detract. If anyone needs to connect to the outside world, mobile WiFi signal is strong.
Gemma is very inviting and could not have been any more helpful or friendlier, making us feel at home straight away. She introduced us to her awesomely sweet pet goats... and they truly are, as are the little piglets we discovered at the bottom end of the field! On asking for a firepit and some wood, Gemma actually brought them over to us herself - a nice, hospitable touch.
This is the sort of site that, once discovered, it leaves a warm and lasting impression and puts a smile on your face when you leave making you vow to return again and again...and we certainly will.
Disliked Happy to report there is nothing to dislike!

Liked What a wonderful campsite! I stayed for 2 nights over the August Bank Holiday and the weather was glorious. It’s wild camping so you choose your own place to pitch your tent and settle down for a relaxing break.
Gemma greeted me on arrival and made me feel really welcome. There are 2 portaloos on site which are kept incredibly clean and plenty of loo roll.
There are sheep and goats in nearby pens which just adds to the charm of the place. If you are bringing dogs be aware of this!
Fire pits and wood provided if you need them.
The village is a short walk away and the pub 15 mins.
I highly recommend this gem of a campsite, no traffic noise, clean, tidy and fabulous hosts!

Liked Small site but it felt big with all the open space. Gemma the owner was super lovely, very chatty and made us feel very welcome. She recommended sooner local pubs and walks for us, and let us spend some time with her goats which was super cool. Had an amazing time and I highly recommend this site

New with potentials but there are much better places out there...
Unpowered grass and earth tent or motorhome site
Liked Small and quiet place.Clean toilets, you can feed goats in the morning. Badger watch attraction in a walking distance but way too overpriced - £80 for up to 4 people.
Disliked Whole field is a slope so not many flat / horizontal spots for tents. All is fenced and unable to step out to see the wild without going around through the entrance. Worst part is that livestock is a part of camping field with electric fence thus you are in position to traumatized your kids seeing attemt to shot your puppy / dog if ends up getting inside sheep field. You need to keep your dog on leash or trained to resist chase. No info was mentioned about this on website ad. Owners left impression of double faced attitude. Very mean and sweet depending on circumstances.

From the manager: Dear Lenny
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re pleased you enjoyed the peaceful setting, clean facilities, and the chance to feed our goats, they’re a highlight for many of our guests.
We’re sorry to hear that other aspects of your stay didn’t meet expectations. While the field does have a natural slope, we offer several flatter areas specifically designated for pitching tents, and we’re always happy to help guests find the best spot on arrival.
Regarding fencing and access to nature, our boundaries are in place to protect both guests and livestock. There are beautiful walking routes and wildlife areas nearby, and we’re happy to recommend the best ways to explore them.
We must address a serious concern from your visit. Your dog entered the livestock area and attacked our animals, which was extremely distressing and unacceptable. This is precisely why our terms and conditions clearly state that dogs must be kept on a lead and supervised at all times for their own safety, the protection of our animals, and out of respect for other guests. Despite reminders, this rule was not followed, and we received complaints from other visitors who were upset by the incident.
Following the event, I made a sincere effort to ensure your children still had a positive experience during their stay. I made an extra special efforts and offered them personal time with our animals, including brushing and interacting with them in a calm, supervised setting, not only to bring some joy to their visit, but also to help them better understand and appreciate animal behaviour and welfare.
We’re reviewing our signage and booking information to make our dog policy even more visible and unambiguous going forward.
Lastly, we’re sorry if any interactions with us felt inconsistent. We aim to treat every guest with warmth and respect, and we regret if our communication came across differently.
Your feedback is noted.
