Set among ancient orchards and wildflower meadows on a 12-acre farm with stunning views of West Dorset countryside, the handcrafted accommodation units at Walnut Farm Glamping pack in quite a lot of luxury, from ensuite bathrooms to private outdoor dining space. Towels and bedding are provided, along with all the essentials like crockery, glassware and cooking implements, so you can pack light too.
Sleeping up to six guests, the units are kept cosy in colder weather thanks to woodburning stoves (a box of wood is provided). Electricity and coffee machines add to the convenience of the site too.
Moving outside, barbecues are provided – you can pick up stuff to cook on the grill at Bridport (10 minutes’ drive). If you don’t fancy outdoor cooking, then simply stroll down to the local pub (15 minutes’ walk) instead. Around the leafy grounds are hammocks and hidden picnic where you can soak up the views, as well as a small lake where you can have a refreshing dip if the mood takes you. Dogs are welcome on site, and they’ll be tickled pink with the number of walks around the farm and into the countryside.
West Dorset is a land of contrasts where you can lose yourself in stunning scenery and millennia-old heritage, head for the Jurassic Coast beaches for a spot of fossil hunting or tour grand historic houses.

Take the A3066 to Bridport. Go through the village of Melplash and take the next left, signposted to West Milton. Follow the road for about one mile and, just after the apple orchards on your left, turn left. Please follow the right-hand track to your accommodation.
