What customers say

A cracking, quiet farm stay with heaps of room and top-notch views. Facilities are spotless, especially the barn with its kitchen and games. Owners are a ripper, and the farm animals and local cider are a bonus. Mobile signal's a bit weak, and a tad more shower space would be grand, but it's a ripper overall.

Unpowered grass tent or campervan site

Liked Beautiful campsite next to cider orchards, with sheep, pigs and chickens on site. We didn’t have the best weather but the barn area was great for staying dry. We were a group of friends in our 20s but the campsite also seemed very good for families. The campsite owners even got the wood burner going and offered to dry clothes for us in their tumble drier. We had amazing views of stars over night.

Disliked Could do with some additional toilets when the campsite is busier, there was sometimes a bit of a queue for the two toilets. Saying that the toilets and showers were very clean and well built.

Unpowered grass tent or campervan site

Liked Great camp site! Very peaceful with beautiful surroundings in a working farm. The children had a great time and enjoyed seeing the pigs, chickens etc and exploring the farm. The barn is very well appointed and ideal for inclement weather.

The 10 pitches are flat and well spaced apart with plenty of room. Fire pits are available. It's nice that vehicles stay away from tents in a separate car park so you don't get disturbed by halogen headlights or slamming doors in the middle of the night! Toilets and showers were very clean.

Great location close to Lyme Regis, Seaton and Chesil with plenty to do in the local area.

We especially enjoyed hiking in the surrounding hills - the Mangerton Mill Museum is a hidden gem a short hike away, well worth a visit!

Liked Idyllic spot with loads of space between pitches. Smart loos and showers and free use of a barn with games and kitchen. We walked to the local pub for dinner and were made to feel very welcome. Took home some fab sausages and poly tunnel veg too.

Unpowered grass tent or campervan site

Liked We loved camping here, we stayed with some of our friends and their kids, and it was a perfect off the grid, family friendly peaceful location.
The dogs and pigs were definitely a firm favourite with the kids!
The wildlife was amazing we saw deer when we were walking around the grounds, there were plenty woodpeckers and pheasants, and the owls were chatting away to us in the evening’s.
The barn was a perfect location to hang out in when we had a rainy evening, and the selections of games provided kept the kids in our group entertained all evening!
The kitchen in the barn had everything you would need and was kept immaculately clean (as were the showers and toilets)
The owners provided us with a friendly welcome when we arrived and were extremely helpful, they gave us a tour of the site when we and told us if we needed anything they were always available.
We had a brilliant camping experience and will definitely return again next year!

Unpowered grass tent or campervan site

Liked The owner was there when we arrived and made us feel very welcome indeed. We loved the cleanliness of the whole place, beautiful barn and great kitchen facilities. The toilets and showers were very clean and very well maintained. Having no phone signal was perfect. We did go for a walk on the high ground and you can get one if needed, but forget the phone signal for a few days. The fantastic views and secluded area of it all was exactly what we were looking for. Any of the pitches are ideal, would love to stay here again, any time of the year.

Noisy sheep and the pigs were a lovely bonus.

Local attractions

If you’re camping with kids, chances are they’ll be keen to get to the beach. Indulge them with a day out at West Bay (15 minutes’ drive), where you can all go fishing, rookpooling and crabbing, or make like Kate Winslet and head to Charmouth (half an hour) to rootle around on the beach for fossils. Dog-friendly Hive Beach (20 minutes) is a clever option for long walks with your furry friends under the shelter of limestone cliffs. The South West Coast Path (15 minutes) passes through the area if you fancy more challenging all-day hikes with impressive sea and sand views from soaring clifftops. The trail heads past lively Bridport (10 minutes); stop there a while to check out its antiques shops or take a high-speed RIB cruise to see the Jurassic Coast from the water. Firmly back on land, take the kids to feed donkeys and wallabies at Vurlands Animal Farm (20 minutes), or spend the day getting up close to the Mute swan colony at Abbotsbury Swannery (35 minutes).
