What customers say

Campers rave about Hartland Caravan & Camping's friendly owners, spotless facilities & amazing views. Close to Hartland village pubs/shops. Most loved it, but some noted peak-time facility pressure & slight noise from local businesses. Great for a chill stay, close to town & walks.

Liked Cute little campsite in a lovely corner of Devon, Becca was great, looked after us very well. Short walk (5mins) to pubs and to shop in Hartland. Nice walk to the coastal path (about 45 mins walk away). Site has hot showers, chemical disposal, electric hookups

Liked Lovely campsite with very friendly and helpful host Becca. Although no actual reception, good communication beforehand and during our stay.
Great to be given a choice of pitch/field. The site has a nice feel to it with plenty of mature hedging for privacy. Shower/Washing up block very clean and well designed.
Excellent woodland walks directly from the site and stunning coastal walks approx. 10 mins away by car.
5 mins flat walk to the friendly village with a choice of shops, pubs and fish & chip shop.
Overall a very enjoyable stay and we look forward to going back.

Disliked Could do with a few more ‘dogs to be kept on leads’ signs.
General rubbish bin area overflowing but once mentioned, measures were taken during our week to sort it out.
Some noise from the skip repair company next door.

Liked Lovely owners and caravan and xamping Park, went out ofthere way to help us ,thank you.

Disliked We didn't moan but I don't think you should be putting tents next to caravans,we could hear everything from snoring to pot and pans and dogs whimpering. At least separate them by some distance.

Powered grass site

Liked Lovely campsite with stunning views from field 4 over Hartland. The shower and toilet facilities were always clean which was amazing as it was such a busy weekend due to the bank holiday and fab weather. Close to local shops and pubs and for us we did lots of cycling which was challenging but again stunning scenery down at Welcombe Mouth Beach and Hartland point. We arrived early and Rebecca the owner was so kind as she allowed us to pitch up early. Cracking site, peaceful and good value for money and we would definitely recommend and be back X I didn't use the WiFi but excellent to have that available aswell.

Liked Everything…. The hosts were so helpful and gave us loads of info for the local area. Diet was very well kept, clean, beautiful views. 5 minutes walk to the village, pubs (Hart Inn for a cracking roast) cafe on the square for a lovely breakfast. Hartland Quay is a must visit…. We will be back again!

Disliked We had to come home!

Unpowered grass site

Liked Communication before hand, a call was made to me to inform us of pitch number and where it was on the site.
We arrived and the grass pitch was lovely and level. Shower and toilet block was clean and tidy hot water all the time and the same with the wash up area.
The fishing pool was nice small but still had three or 4 carp to 1.5lb great for a couple of hours.
The walk into the village is flat and 5 mins away on paths. Overall a great weekend and we will be returning soon.

Local attractions

Hartland Abbey is five minutes’ drive away from the site for relaxed roams around an old historical structure, although the rides of The Milky Way Adventure Park (10 minutes) could be a better option if you’re looking for entertainment for the kids… Younger members of your group may also be less keen on peering at the work in the Burton Art Gallery and Museum (25 minutes), which has lots of local crafts on display, but are sure to appreciate bucket and spade times at the sandy beach of Westward Ho! half an hour’s drive away. You might also be able to convince them into coming on morning jaunts to Northam Burrows Country Park (also 30 minutes) or birdwatching at the RSPB Isley Marsh (35 minutes) with the lure of an afternoon at The Big Sheep farm-themed amusement park (20 minutes).
