Brooklands Caravan Park

Get your golf club ready… it's time to putt the holes at the nearby Woodbury Park Hotel & Golf Club (five minutes’ drive). Crealy Theme Park & Resort (five minutes) is also around the corner, where kids can shoot down log flumes or fly high on rollercoasters and swings. More entertainment, this time in the form of a showground with events running throughout the year, is over at Westpoint Exeter (five minutes). The city is calling… vaulted underground tunnels, cathedrals, and museums are just a few of the activities to add to your list in Exeter (20 minutes), where the River Exe makes for smooth sailing, kayaking or fishing too. In the city, look out Northernhay Gardens, framed by ruins of Exeter Castle – it's the oldest space open to the public in England, and rightly so. Hee-haw… what’s that sound? The Donkey Sanctuary (20 minutes) harbours hundreds of grazing donkeys. Just try not to get too lost in the mazes and woodlands on their site. Head out further afield and greet more animals up close at Paignton Zoo (40 minutes). Then, head to the seaside fancy of Dawlish Warren (30 minutes), where the steam railways puffs by regularly, and you can wander the stately grounds at Powderham Castle (25 minutes) or tackle the clifftops over the heritage coastline.
