I will not trust Pitch ups ratings going forward.

Liked There was hardly anyone there.
Disliked We underestimated just how basic this was but this was due to the very high rating given by pitch-up. I’m sure this is other peoples idea of rustic but it was beyond basic, scruffy and a maximum of 1 star for the facilities.

Liked Everything, no frills camping, no rules, the hostess, the well mowed pitches, the readily available wooden ramps to level the camper. The view easy on the eye, the proximity to towns with all the stuff you want. Convenience store in walking distance.

Liked COST!!
I was meeting family and just needed somewhere cheap to get my head down. I had seen a local car park in Appledore for £15 which i had planned to visit. This site only cost me £10 and I had the added bonus of a shower and no distractions.
I was a little late getting to the pitch due to travel, the owner had text me earlier in the day, I let her know I would be later then what the rules were (21.00 hours) and it caused no problems.
I was allowed to just drive up and pitch where ever. On this occasion, there was only 2 others on site, so I remained as quiet as I could to be respectful as they were so accommodating.
there is a shower and toilets. Shower was not the warmest, but from a sign on the wall, I believe it is solar heated, so it was warm enough for me to get clean.
Disliked Nothing worth me turning.

Liked This site is perfect.
Very slight noise from the road, but nothing to disturb your sleep or peaceful morning.
From the top of the field you’ll get a glorious sunrise. A wander in the dog field, you’ll also catch the tip of the sunset.
The toilet and shower facilities are lovely. Solar showers providing an actual hot steamy water, which is very welcome after a day at the beach.
You can walk down the very muddy track on the opposite side of the road to the river for a dip.
It’s close to a local garage if you’ve forgotten any essentials. And a great location to get to many beaches within 30ish minutes.
