  • Semi-wild farm camping in a hay meadow near Tiverton in Devon
  • A 25-minute drive to Exmoor National Park; 50 minutes to Lynmouth
  • Off-grid pitches for over-16s only; pub five minutes’ drive
Rowden Farm is a compact and pop-up campsite in a flat, maintained paddock near Tiverton in Devon, set in peaceful countryside, with only a cold drinking water tap and portable toilet available in the way of facilities. Time to treat yourselves to a semi-wild camping adventure with Exmoor National Park, north Devon beaches and great attractions all within easy driving distance. There are no roads within half a mile, and dogs on leads are very welcome. While you’re pottering around on the camping field, watch out for wildlife including red deer, hares, foxes and badgers. You are also welcome to explore the mown grass tracks through the farm’s hay meadows, which are full of wildflowers. Keep stocked up with camping essentials from the sleepy village of Witheridge (five minutes’ drive), where there’s also a general store, post office and pub that serves food all day. A fish and chip van visits the village on Friday evenings. Open fires and barbecues are not permitted on this site. Please note that guests must be aged over 16 to stay at Rowden Farm.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked: Super private and quiet site. Great for my nervous dog as there was lots of space between pitches. Highly reccomend if you're looking for a peaceful few nights in the countryside! The toilet was clean and the tap was close to the pitch as well which made washing up easy. The host was very welcoming and had a great local knowledge!

Disliked: Nothing, it was a perfect stay!
