What customers say

Great, tidy campsite near Dartmoor with easy access to walks. Staff are a legend, facilities are top-notch, including spacious sites & a dog wash. On-site food & shop are bonuses. Minor gripes like Wi-Fi costs or noise don't spoil the good vibes. Most punters want to come back.

Power optional concrete slab site

Liked Very pretty site, lovely walks, clean and tidy, good facilities, great bar/restaurant, friendly staff, fair price

Disliked Totally not in the owners control, and realise we were in the countryside, but the cows nearby did not shut up all night and really went for it from 4am onwards. Ear plugs were very much required.

Also was surprised by the lack of free WiFi, never had to pay for WiFi on any site before.

Power optional grass site

Liked Nice pitch, good showers, nice location.
Overall, very good, clean and very well kept.

Disliked Only a couple of tiny dislikes but feel I can’t give 10/10 without mentioning them, we were in a party of 10 with 5 children so travelled through the night (360 mile journey) didn’t expect to get on pitch early, but it would have been helpful if they had an area for early arrivals.
Could have done with a slightly better stocked shop which was open more often.

Power optional concrete slab site

Liked Great pitches, we were on hard standing, had hedges in between pitches and our own wooden table to use, shower and toilet blocks were lovely and clean. Had a warm and helpful welcome. We ate in the restaurant, food was lovely and couldn’t fault the team working behind the bar, very attentive and welcoming also. Location is great, you are able to walk to Pew Tor from the campsite. I believe there was WiFi available for a charge, we didn’t use.

Power optional grass site

Liked Excellent welcoming. Escorted around facilities and given a verbal run down on facilities.
Very clean from house keeping.
Plenty of space for washing up, showers, even a dog shower.
Water pressure amazing. This is appreciated when you have thick long hair.
Beautiful location with plenty of walks in outstanding natural beauty.
The staff are excellent. Go out of their way to help.
Dogs allowed in the onsite pub and restaurant.
Good choice on menu.
Level pitch with great space and don't feel on top of each other.

Liked We had a fantastic stay at Langstone Manor Holiday Park, perfectly situated on the edge of Dartmoor. From the moment we arrived, the warm and friendly welcome set the tone for a great visit—thank you! Our pitch was excellent, the facilities were immaculate, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. It’s an ideal base for exploring the moors and enjoying scenic walks, including a lovely stroll into Tavistock. We highly recommend Langstone Manor and will definitely be coming back soon.

Route directions

From Tavistock, take the B3357 road to Princetown/Two Bridges. After approximately two miles, look for a right-hand turn at a white cottage, and follow brown tourist signs for the site. Follow the lane and you will shortly go over a cattle grid - up the hill, turn left at the sign and again left at the next junction. The site is along the laneway on the right-hand side. Go over the cattle grid and follow the road right up the hill to a stop sign. Do not use satnav if you are towing or in a large vehicle.

Local attractions

Holidaymakers can amble or pedal straight onto the moors from here, and it only takes a few minutes to scramble to the summit of Pew Tor for views for miles around. As well as the wealth of hiking and biking routes in the area, there are centres for horse riding, canoeing and climbing on Dartmoor, to help visitors make the most of the spectacular landscapes. If you’re feeling brave, you can even go wild swimming... although you may prefer to nip over the border to Cornwall’s beaches to go swimming or surfing. A 10-minute drive from Langstone Manor is the market town of Tavistock, where there are regular farmers' markets, a cinema and an indoor swimming pool (with waterslides and kids' pool). For National Trustees, the granite crenellations of Castle Drogo are worth a visit; this Lutyens-designed castle was the last ever built in England, and has lovely gardens and a scenic outlook over the Teign Gorge. The dramatic waterfalls and ancient woodlands of Lydford Gorge (the deepest gorge in the south west) are not to be missed either, as long as you don’t mind a bit of strenuous walking, or getting your feet wet. Rainy day suggestions include Plymouth, home to the UK’s biggest aquarium, or an exit to Exeter, a cathedral city bristling with shops and things to do.
