What customers say
Great spot with spacious, private sites and a peaceful vibe. Kids love the activities like the play area & river beach, plus feeding lambs. Super clean facilities and super-helpful owners. A few extra showers needed at peak times, but overall a ripper stay with lots of return visitors.

Liked Such a wonderful little camp site. The grounds are well kept with nature and wildlife in mind. The children loved choosing the camping pitch, and it was really helpful to be able to drive down to drop off the camping equipment before parking the car away from the tent. There are also pitches you can keep your car next to the tent in the other field. The children loved being able to feed the sheep and play badminton and football with the other children at the camp site in the designated play areas. The toilets were clean and well kept and the washing up area had hot water. The fridge/freezer was also a bonus to refreeze cooler blocks. Chris and his family were around for any questions and they gave us some great recommendations for days out and places to eat. We had a great 4 days and have already recommended the site to our friends. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Liked Had a great couple of nights here. Facilities were clean throughout, kids had plenty to keep them occupied all enjoying the park, games area and river beach. Our daughter had a great time and loved bottle feeding the lambs. The fridge freezer, charging facility and WiFi were all an excellent touch. Would definitely recommend and we will visit again soon.

Liked Our second visit and we hope to return next year. This is a fantastic campsite with such friendly owners. They even let the children help to bottle feed the lambs each morning and evening, which was lovely. The pitches are beautifully spaced with wild meadow between each. It felt very safe for the children to go and play in the playground and generally around the site. Lots of space for them to explore. Good toilet and shower facilities. Lovely, quiet and peaceful.

Liked A really lovely, peaceful campsite as part of a working farm, with large pitches clearly marked out by mowed grass. Amazing countryside views. There is a stream running along the bottom of the site and an area for paddling and a sandpit. There's a cordoned off pond and a great little playground area plus football net, badminton and a shelter for rainy or very hot sunny days. Hot shower and washing up area plus decent amount of clean toilets. My children loved getting up close to the lambs and helping feed them and there are chickens too. The campsite owners are welcoming, friendly and helpful at suggesting places to go and visit nearby. Would highly recommend.
Disliked I think there will need to be a couple of extra showers for when the campsite gets busy. It wasn't too bad when we were there as it wasn't too busy.

Liked Fabulous little farm site with lots to do for the children. The owners Chris and Tina are so kind and helpful, they have a lot of local knowledge and are happy to chat.
Our three Grandsons (aged 6) enjoyed the freedom to roam and play in the little stream, the play park, and space to ride their bikes around the site, which felt perfectly safe for them.
We would thoroughly recommend South Ford Farm, whether it be for camping, or a lovely shepherds hut experience in beautiful countryside.
Thank you Chris, Tina and Family.

Liked As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Chris the owner, he was so friendly and welcoming which didn’t stop there! Throughout our stay Chris popped by the pitch asking how things were and giving great advise on where to go & what to see also letting our children help bottle feed the lambs which was an amazing experience by itself, the whole site is very relaxing, clean and has been though out to give everyone a more than ample pitch, you could happily spend the entire time on site without the little ones saying I’m bored.
Toilets clean, showers clean, washing up area clean…. All these kept in amazing condition, I can’t stress enough how nice Chris was and the homely feeling he and the family run site gives you! We have to say this is the best campsite we’ve stayed at!
We’ll 100% be back
Thank you so much for not only great ideas but for the warm welcome and interactions.
