Liked: Huge woodland, well maintained pitches with water and electricity. Old fashioned / retro feel to it - you can tell lots of love has gone into building this place into what it is!
Disliked: 10am check out felt a little bit too early compared to other sites I’ve stayed on. Showers are co-located with the toilets, so not as modern, but hot water came on quickly which was a positive!

Liked: The location is great with lots of nearby things to do. The facilities are great with a toilet and baby changing table. Because the site is car free on the pitches it means our 8, 5 and 1 year old can have lots of freedom to roam safely. We will be back.

Unpowered forest floor tent site (wild)
Liked: Had a great stay here. It was midweek, so very quiet, didn't have to wait for facilities or wheelbarrows. We had a woodland/wild spot, and would recommend them as they are nice and secluded. The wild spots are further from the car park, so would recommend packing light! We only stayed 1 night and it was a lot of effort to get set up and down, but would definitely stay again for longer. And of course, campfires encouraged! Plenty of free plugs and freezer space, well stocked shop, 24 hour vending machines, and lots of picnic benches. If you are backpacking, I can't imagine a more perfect site, and totally suitable for hammock camping. It's a good location to explore South Devon or Dartmoor.

Liked: The relaxed arrival. Facilities available. Woodland camp spots. Listening to and watching nature. Fire pit - though it could've done with a few more rocks to surround and the large amount of debris spilling out removed.
Disliked: The lack of awareness and consideration of some of the other campers.

Liked: The site was clean and had good facilities - a shop with the basics, toilets and shower block, and kitchen with microwave, fridge and sink...even washing machines. The pitches were nicely spaced out with a good mix and not overly crowded.
Disliked: Close enough to the main motorway so we could hear the cars if you listened carefully but not so noticeable to be bothersome...opn the plus side, the site is very easy to get to once off the motorway =)

Unpowered forest floor tent site (wild)
Liked: Aah, Ashbourne Woods, our favourite local site and only 20 minutes from home. Blessed with wonderful weather for our short stay over half term. Greeted as usual with friendly faces. A Wild Camp in the valley on this trip, tent basked in sunshine, a plethora of wildlife surrounding us. 2 camp fires during our visit - homemade pizza and we even attempted a cake! Kids happy swinging in the hammock and whittling sticks. Ball games on the meadow. No need to leave the site, as more than enough to entertain the kids. Some upgraded toilets and undercover area since our last visit which was good to see. Thankyou once again for a lovely yet short stay. We will return during the season.
