Unpowered forest floor tent site (wild)
Liked: Aah, Ashbourne Woods, our favourite local site and only 20 minutes from home. Blessed with wonderful weather for our short stay over half term. Greeted as usual with friendly faces. A Wild Camp in the valley on this trip, tent basked in sunshine, a plethora of wildlife surrounding us. 2 camp fires during our visit - homemade pizza and we even attempted a cake! Kids happy swinging in the hammock and whittling sticks. Ball games on the meadow. No need to leave the site, as more than enough to entertain the kids. Some upgraded toilets and undercover area since our last visit which was good to see. Thankyou once again for a lovely yet short stay. We will return during the season.

Power optional grass tent site
Liked: We had such a great time!! The grasspitches are very spacious(we have a 5m bell tent) and well spaced out, unlike other campsites In front of the pitche you have enough space to have your chairs, BBQ/fire pit, etc. there is a drinking water tap every 15-20 meters. Plenty of toilets, the shower building is warm with plenty of hot water. The kitchens are well equipped with toasters, microwave s, fridge & freezer. There are designated campfire spaces on the forest floor, and you can gather your firewood from there, as well( obviously no damage to the trees). It was our friends first time camping, and we couldn't have chosen a better place!

Liked: The outlook from the tent in the wild camping section was lovely. The staff were very welcoming. We felt like we were alone in the woods. Pitches are very well set a part and it was just a lovely time. Would definitely return
Disliked: Didn’t dislike anything. Shower block and toilets were a little tired, but that’s to be expected in a woodland campsite. Didn’t bother us.

Liked: Fabulous site!! Stayed with my 9 year old daughter, to give her a chance at wild camping, which she was absolutely delighted with. Clean, tidy and well appointed, whilst still providing the freedom to enjoy some woodland camping, without the next pitch peering over you. Highly recommended
Disliked: The weather!!! But that's just a bank holiday weekend norm

Liked: Lovely campsite in the woods, hosts were very welcoming and made sure we knew everything we needed. Although there were other campers near us we didn’t really notice them.
Disliked: Light in the compost toilet wasn’t working but that’s not the end of the world because you had to take a torch with you at night.

Liked: Amazing stay here! Private pitches, perfect for that wild camp vibe! Shame we only spent 1 night to be honest. All your needs catered for on site. The little shop is such an amazing bonus! Local pub is also amazing and food was top notch. Highly recommended this place. Will 100% be returning with the kids very soon! Pitch 23 Paul & Jess
