Powered grass tent site (three person)
Liked: Fairly close to Beer, but you'd have to drive
Disliked: We were 'welcomed' to the site by Lyndsey aggressively commenting to another guest regarding their dogs barking. The dogs were small puppies, probably nervous of our vehicle and did not bother us at all, but Lyndsey's manner did. She was really abrupt and rude to the woman, but was overly friendly to us - very weird and surprising. It was really awkward and such a shocking way to run a business. We almost left right then. As the family tried to protest at being spoken to so rudely, Lyndsey loudly threatened the family with being asked to leave and swore in front of young children. Later a male member of staff continued speaking to the other family in a rude and intimidating way. We felt uncomfortable by the whole drama that we left after only having been there 20 mins to put up a tent, and went into Seaton for an hour or so, came back, went to bed and left early in the morning. We didn't hear the dogs again so they weren't very barky at all. I am not surprised that under any negative reviews they have responded with 'you didn't complain to us at the time' - if you complained you'd 100% end up being shouted at and who knows if you'd make it out alive! A VERY weird place and no we will NOT be returning! PS. No animals we could see No sea view from the electric hook up tent paddock (they could trim down the nettles / hedge and then you'd see it) Basic facilities which were fine for us for one night

Liked: The site offers many free shared stuff, for example fridges, showers, Wlan; very good price-performance ratio!
Disliked: The site was a bit windy and the soil layer shallow above bedrock, so I had some problems with my tend, but it worked:)

Liked: Large field, washing facilities available and a good range of recycling bins. From the upper field you can see the sea.
Disliked: The shower rooms flood. The entrance to the campsite has a large ditch that low seated cars struggle with.

Liked: We could not fault this campsite or the staff. They were really helpful and flexible when we were in the process of booking ensuring that, where possible, our party could all be together. On arrival they were friendly with a good helping of humour which made us feel instantly welcome. The facilities were great; the field was well mown (a little evidence of sheep inhabiting before but it is the countryside and wasn’t offensive), plenty of toilets and showers (that were kept clean), a good washing up area and fridge and excellent recycling facilities (the only negative being down to some people who evidently had never heard of recycling but the site had done all they could to provide for people who can be bothered!). The view was beautiful in the morning and we were within a reasonable distance of a number of beaches (Beer is even walkable, a friend told us, but it is on a narrow road so maybe not best with small people-the road isn’t the campsite’s fault though!). We would thoroughly recommend this site and the staff to anyone and hope to come back one day. Thanks so much to Adrian and Lindzi (& the rest of the staff).
Disliked: The ridiculously negative reviews from people who have evidently never been to a rural campsite before.

Liked: Clean facilities and lots of them. Tidy site, no rubbish and recycling facilities. Very scenic.
Disliked: Big ditch to get in and out of site, almost grounded our weighed down car. Nowhere to dry hands in toilets, no cover over washing up station and very steep hill. Lots of big groups, so not so great if you are a family camping alone.
