What customers say
This tidy site's a ripper for its peaceful vibes, cleanliness & helpful staff. Folks rave about the lush Dartmoor views, spacious spots & top-notch facilities (hot showers!). Great for exploring Lydford Gorge. Small shop stocks local goodies. Mostly brilliant, just a bit of village event noise & one Wi-Fi grumble.

Liked Fantastic site, made to feel very welcome upon arrival and throughout our stay. We stayed 5 nights on fully serviced hard standing pitch, pitches are well kept and wardens work non stop to maintain the site standards.
Lovely location with beautiful walks in the surrounding area. We will definitely be returning.

Liked Sample campsite but facilities are lovely. Very quiet which was nice. But we were only there the one night. Great walking distance from Lydford gorge waterfalls ! Didn’t realise we needed vouchers for WiFi and it was too late to purchase when we realised but that was our own fault for not reading properly !

Liked Friendly welcome upon arrival, guided to our pitch which was in a lovely location.
The site layout gives plenty of space between pitches, all seem to be carefully located for a pleasant outlook and privacy from neighbouring pitches.
Facilities were spotlessly clean, very well stocked shop with all the essentials and more.
Nice to see them selling local meats and produce, easy walk to the village pub serving really good food, friendly staff and a pleasant ambience.
Nice local walks including the National Trust Lydford gorge, long hike to the waterfall with a national trust cafe at each end of the trail.
All in all a lovely 3 night stay and looking forward to going back again in the near future.

Good, clean but would expect that for the price.

Liked Nice camp in a lovely little village.
Disliked I thought it expensive to stay at the camp £77 for two nights. Cheap toilet paper. For money charged could spend out a bit more on toilet paper, so flimsy.

Liked Incredibly friendly and welcoming wardens, who met us as we approached the front gate. They showed us to our pitch, and although we originally booked a grass pitch, they were very accommodating in offering us a hard-standing pitch due to us having our truck and roof-tent attached, along with the poor weather. We appreciated this upgrade! The shop was fully stocked with local produce, and we thoroughly enjoyed the venison burgers! The facilities (toilets, dish-washing, and clothes washing) were very modern and clean, with hot showers!! Thank you for such a lovely stay, we would definitely return.
