Higher Aunemouth Farm

A basic but pretty camping site located ¼ mile from Bantham Beach, close to Thurlestone and Bigbury and 4½ miles from the South Hams town of Kingsbridge. Higher Aunemouth Farm campsite offers affordable rustic camping for tents, camper vans or caravans within easy reach of this beautiful stretch of the South Hams coastline in South Devon. Facilities There are four recycling toilets, commonly dubbed ‘long-drop’ loos. Don’t be put off! They are well designed and with just a scoop of sawdust thrown over, the waste matter gradually decomposes. As long as no non-biodegradable items go in, the loos are completely environmentally friendly. No electricity we’re afraid, but there is a standpipe for water located near the entrance of the field and an outside cold shower which has a wicker fence surround for privacy Recycling and rubbish We try to be as green as possible at Higher Aunemouth and bins are provided near the entrance of the site for food scraps, paper, cardboard, plastic, tins and bottles. There is also a bin for general non-recyclable rubbish. If you could dispose of your waste in the bins provided, we’d be very grateful. Black bin rubbish is expensive to dispose of so the more we can recycle the better, as this helps keep camping costs down.
