Drive to site

  • Coastal caravan park five minutes’ drive from St Agnes, north Cornwall
  • A 10-minute drive to the South West Coast Path; Truro 20 minutes
  • Views to St Ives and St Agnes Beacon; pubs and shops 20 minutes’ walk
Set on the outskirts of St Agnes village in Cornwall, St Agnes Caravan Site is a neatly manicured caravan and tourer site with a big USP – truly spectacular views over the north coast to the landmark Gwithian Lighthouse and St Ives on a distant headland. And there’s more. The family-owned site is surrounded by farmland and if you look inland, countryside views stretch as far as Carn Brea (20 minutes’ drive) and St Agnes Beacon (10 minutes). You’re almost guaranteed vibrant sunrises and sunsets, and hopefully there’ll be at least one clear evening so you can witness the starry sky after dark. St Agnes Caravan Site has spacious and level grass pitches around the perimeter of the field, leaving the central area open for you and the kids to enjoy safey. Each pitch has a picnic bench, illuminated supply points with fresh drinking water and an electric hook-up – but there are no toilets or showers. Grey water and chemical-waste disposal points are clearly marked nearby. Refuse, dog and recycling bins are discreetly fenced near to the exit. There’s a small field adjacent to the pitches for well-behaved dog walks – but please keep them on leads and pick up after them as you go. And even better for your four-legged friends, the site has direct access onto a cycle and walking path that leads to St Agnes (20 minutes’ walk). You’ll never go hungry in St Agnes either, as the village has convenience stores, specialist food shops and cafés, as well as several pubs, restaurants and takeaways.

Liked What a lovely site in a really good location and beautiful views across from St Ives to Padstow. The owners are friendly and helpful and keep the site immaculate. The laundry room is a really good idea, and being able to walk straight from the site on a path to the village and beach is really great.

Disliked Nothing!

Liked It's our second time visiting this site and we enjoyed it so much last year we came for 15 nights this time, the site is so peaceful and quiet our camping neighbours have been lovely and friendly each time we've stayed, the grounds are kept spotless, every pitch gets there own table and bench set and water right behind your set up, Martins extremely welcoming and friendly, we find the site to be in the perfect place for us so we can enjoy most of Cornwall, there's a lovely walk/bicycle path into St Agnes with the best bakery on the whole of Cornwall there, We will definitely be returning
Thank you for having us Dee & Marc

Disliked Nothing at all to dislike but obviously would be much better if it had a shower and toilet block

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we really appreciate it. The sunset photos are great, I am sure they were taken from the picnic bench with a drink in hand. The Bakery is just fantastic, we are so lucky, at least if you walk down the track, buy your yummy goods and walk back up you feel better about eating your lovely breakfast !
We look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Kind regards Martin and Lucy.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we really appreciate it. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay, you certainly got out and about around the area. Your dog seemed to enjoyed his morning walks up and down the track. Great that you enjoyed that Tap House with your friend, it always has such a lovely welcoming vibe with good food. The fish is usually supplied by local fisherman so you know its fresh. At least you can have a drink and wonder back up the track later. We look forward to seeing you again soon, Kind regards Martin and Lucy

Local attractions

St Agnes sits on the spectacular north Cornish coastline with many scenic walks. Pack the swimming costumes and head for Trevaunace Cove (40 minutes’ walk) or Chapel Porth (an hour) beaches for surfing, kayaking and fishing. For longer hikes, join the South West Coast Path (10 minutes’ drive) to plunge down to hidden coves and head uphill once more for soaring clifftop views. One of the centres of Cornwall’s mining heritage, St Agnes (20 minutes’ walk) is steeped in industrial history and has a small namesake museum with displays on tin and copper mining. To learn more (and channel your inner Poldark), explore the long-abandoned mines and chimneys at Wheal Coates or remote Great Wheal Charlotte (both 10 minutes’ drive). Exploring a little further afield, the cathedral city of Truro (20 minutes) has a lively gourmet scene with lots of bars and bistros selling Cornish seafood. As well as being Cornwall’s surfing mecca, Newquay (half an hour) turns up a picture-perfect fishing harbour to amble around, waterside pubs and a full schedule of summer cultural events.
