Grassy pitches and views (added by manager 31 Mar 2023)
The view from trewarveneth mound towards the village of mousehole
Grassy pitches
The farm before the pop-up was created

  • Dog-friendly pop-up site with views of Mount’s Bay
  • A 20-minute walk from Newlyn and 30 minutes from Mousehole
  • A short walk from a pub; rural walks in the surrounding area
Views? Tick. Coastal spots within walking distance? Trewarveneth Manor Farm Camping has that too. In fact, this small, family-friendly pop-up site has a lot to like. It’s within walking distance of Newlyn, Paul and Mousehole (all characterful villages) and there are views over Mount’s Bay and St Michael’s Mount, a castle island just off the coast. If that’s not enough, the countryside surrounding the bay is made up of low hills and sandy beaches. Local communities include Penzance, Marazion, Perranuthnoe and Porthleven, some very well-liked Cornwall destinations, and rightly so, with lots of different offerings. First, though, to Mousehole you go… with cottages around a little harbour, two safe sandy beaches and a host of places to eat and things to do (including coastal wildlife cruises on board the Cormorant and heritage walks around the village), you’ll be glad to be just half an hour’s walk away There’s a regular bus service from Mousehole to Newlyn and Penzance to take your adventures further afield. If you’d rather get in some peaceful pedals, it’s also the starting point for a cycling trail to Marazion. The village of Paul, just 15 minutes’ stroll away across the fields, is home to the church of St Pol de Leon and a pub that serves excellent beer and food. That’s just the fuel you’ll need for rural walks all within easy reach of Trewarveneth Manor Farm – any dogs you bring are likely to enjoy these routes. Back at base, the site has portable toilet and shower facilities, as well as a washing-up area and drinking water, but no hot water.

Liked: We really loved the simplicity of this site. The site is exactly as described. Hot water for washing up and lovely hot showers in an open trailer. Views were fab! Very close to Newlyn but felt that you were in the middle of nowhere with fab views of Saint Michaels Mount. Shaun was very informative and friendly. Keen to make sure we were settled well and knew where everything was. Thank you.

Disliked: Wish we had had less rain!

Liked: What a gem of a location - it felt like a sanctuary in the midst of the hordes of Tourists in other places around. We were in our element with an incredible view right over St Michaels Mount and greeted to a beautiful sunrise. A simple compost loo; (only used the showers built in a horsebox to wash our faces but the water hot). I loved that it didnt have many people there. Was the best part of our trip and would definately go back. This place is for those who love to be close to nature. If you are looking for fancy facilities this is not your place.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful owner. Hot showers, washing up area, beautiful views over Mount’s Bay. Peaceful. Lots of room, minimum slope and shelter from the prevailing wind. Just the job for a weary bike packer.

Disliked: The rain when packing up!!!

Liked: I had a great experience at Trewarveneth Manor Farm Campsite. Shaun’s hospitality really made my stay - he went above and beyond to help me out and provide directions for my hike. The showers were really warm (appreciated after a long day hiking!) and the view over Penzance was beautiful to wake up to. This spot is a hidden gem.

Liked: Showers were so good!!! Lovely hot water. Shaun went above and beyond to help out. Visited the campsite each day to make sure everyone was happy amd comfortable. In fact I even got a puncture amd the man went well beyond the average man in taking me to the local tyre fitter to getting it changed. So polite.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike at all.
