Our site- wonderful views, all units accepted, recreational area, fires allowed, dog exercise area
So much space for families to play and meet new friends

  • Relaxed, roomy and unallocated pitches suitable for families and dogs
  • Near to the South West Coast Path, beaches and attractions
  • Campfires and groups welcome; enclosed dog exercise field on site
To list the excellent pursuits that can be sought out from Lamarth Farm Campsite would take some time: coastal walks, cycling trails, National Trust beaches or clifftops, Poldark locations, mining trails, castles and activities such as surfing, paddleboarding, fishing, horse riding, coasteering and golfing… That’s partly down to the fact that the family-run farm site’s patch of land is at the gateway to the Lizard Peninsula. It's a simple and uncomplicated place surrounded by Cornish countryside and run by Rachel, Luke and the boys. Take in the valley views across Mounts Bay while cradling a hot choc or a glass of wine by the campfire. The pitch sizes are unrestricted, so there’s plenty of space to unwind, and well-behaved dogs are very welcome (two can join you for free, and you can add extras if you've a multi-dog family). There’s a designated enclosed dog exercise field, three dog-friendly beaches a short drive away and a great dog-friendly pub in Gunwalloe village, five minutes' drive away. Don’t worry on the food front either. Ice cream and pasties are easy to find locally, and there are shops in Helston, Mullion and Mawgan for essentials. Facilities are kept to just the basics with a clean and well-maintained male shower block and a female shower block with baby changing facilities. There are two partially covered sinks for washing up, a fridge-freezer for ice packs and other bits and sockets for charging battery packs. The large grass field also has a central recreational area for kids to run around, fly a kite or play games. Lamarth Farm is a working farm, so expect to see and hear lots of tractors (just don’t enter the yard area). There’s no livestock, but there are some chickens and ducks, so fresh eggs are available to purchase at the top of the lane daily. You may also see helicopters and gliders passing overhead from the nearby naval base.

Evania bell tent (four person)

Liked: We used one of the bell tents available at the site. It was extremely clean, dry and comfortable. The facilities on the site were accurately described on the information provided, again very clean, and there was plenty of hot water in the showers. Great to have a good-sized dog exercise area.

Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site

Liked: Such a quiet clean, well maintained and lovely site. The shower/toilet blocks were spotless, and even had a potty toilet seat for toddlers which was perfect for my two year old. There were chickens and ducks which my boys loved, as well as a football pitch, and a shed with books, games a fridge/freezer, charger points and a washing up area as well. The owners were very welcoming and lovely to chat to. This was our first camping experience as a family and was the best place to do it, we are already looking forward to coming back!

Disliked: Nothing!

From the manager: Thank you so much for the lovely review. We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay and I'm glad that your first camping trip with the children was a success!! We look forward to seeing you again soon and being just a short drive away even better you don't have a long drive for a short mini break when the sunshines.

Evania bell tent (four person)

Liked: We had the loveliest stay at Lamarth Farm! This campsite has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and cute getaway in Cornwall. Rachel the owner and her lovely dog even came around in the evening to make sure we had settled in to our gorgeous bell tent, she really took all the hassle out of camping and we will definitely be back!

Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site

Liked: This is a lovely simple site, it has all the essentials, great showers and plenty of space. Nice view with the sea in the distance. The navy helicopters are very active at times. It is very convenient for visiting local beaches and the Lizard, the nearest town Helston. It’s our second stay and we would definitely camp here again.

From the manager: Thank you for your review, it's great to hear that you have stayed with us before and will do again in the future. The helicopters are active but a great sight to see when they are training our future MOD pilots. we hope to see you soon

Bella bell tent (six person)

Liked: Absolutely lovely site. We stayed as a family of 5 in the bigger bell tent, which was clean and kitted out with solar lights, inside and out. Windbreak, picnic bench and firepit being provided were lovely touches. Toilets and showers clean and well maintained. plugs for charging and ice pack freezing available, again a lovely touch. Very welcoming and friendly owners. Lots of space in the middle of the field for running about / playing football. Its not the quietest campsite due to the proximity of RNAS Culdrose, however we loved watching the helicopters and other aircraft moving about, and if your really lucky you will get a wave from the pilots as they approach over the campsite! We'll definitely be looking to book again in the future.

From the manager: Thank you for your review, it was a pleasure to meet you all and hear that you enjoyed your stay in our Bell Tent. My children loved playing football with yours and waving to the helicopters! They can be noisy at times but we love to see and hear them knowing they are training pilots in our MOD We hope to see you all again, Rachel

Unpowered grass tent site (solo)

Liked: Stayed for 4 nights, campsite field is huge and clean. Great spot for doing south west path. The owners are brilliant, I arrived and broke my tent pole broken and split canvas. The owner came across and helped with a temporary fix which helped with stay. Also local burger van comes and great info on the evening they attend. Also owners check you are okay which was great customer care. One of best sites I have been to in cornwall. Will stay next year.

Disliked: Nothing.
