Disliked: Machine asking for 50p to shower - come on guys, it’s a digital economy now - if you need extra money, just add it to the price!!

Liked: Everything about this place was fab, the place was imaculate the toilet blocks were great and there was 3 dotted around the site...the pitch sizes were brill nothing bad to say about this site it was our favourite site so far and the views...You need to go and see for yourself...it also had a well stocked shop and a pizza place...a park for the children too and plenty of space to enjoy your stay and very close to a beach with an ample size car park and cafe...Love it all

Disliked: Not a dislike but you do have to pay extra for your hook up when you get there at 10 a night as pitch up doesn't charge you for it only the stay..so be prepared to pay some extra on arrival

Liked: Lovely campsite, near a beautiful beach, in walking distance. Good little shop on site and the facilities were always very clean. Would happily return to camp here again, we had a great stay. Wifi worked well too which was an added bonus!

Liked: Well maintained and very clean site. Good location and peaceful. Staff very friendly and helpful. Showers very good. Shop had basics and pizza's were lovely. Small park for little one to play in. Will definitely be going back again.

Liked: The pitches and the general cleanliness of the place.

Disliked: There is no warden ensuring that the 10pm - 8am quiet times are respected so it’s tough with young kids when you’re trying to sleep and it’s still loud at 2am. It also sticks in your teeth a little that you have to pay for the showers.

Liked: The park was lovely and quite and the staff couldn’t do enough to help wasn’t to keen on the 50p for showers though but apart from that really enjoyed our stay

Liked: Absolutely loved this camp site. Beautiful view of the sea. Nice family friendly simple place to stay. Was good to hear the sound of people and children enjoying them selves. Lovely location and walk down to the sea,and for getting to other places. Looking forward to returning and exploring some more.

Local attractions

The clean, safe and award-winning Kennack Sands (with lifeguards on duty during the summer months) is a 10-minute walk from Chy Carne, and has shops and cafés as well as a dog-friendly stretch on one side: hum the theme from Jaws as you spot a basking shark, or clamber up the coastal path for scenic walks in both directions. A short drive away is Kynance Cove, which is one of the most photographed spots in Cornwall: fool folk that you’re in the Med by snapping a pic here or at postcard-perfect Mullion Cove on a sunny day. The Site of Special Scientific Interest Goonhilly Downs is on the doorstep, best known for its Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station, once the biggest in the world and still with satellite dishes that can be seen for miles: the building of a new space science centre on the site was announced in 2011. Let the kids loose too at the Lizard Point Lighthouse, the last manned lighthouse before automation and now with a heritage centre with exhibits, displays and some of the original engines, or take them to drool over the dromedaries at Cornish Camels. As it’s Cornwall, holidaymakers of an amphibious disposition will be in heaven with top sailing, surfing, scuba diving and other watersports along this stretch of Cornish coast, and several surf and scuba schools in the area for both newbies and water experts. Landlubbers will find plenty to do too: horse riding, bird (and shark) spotting, golf, fishing, clay pigeon shooting and more are all within reach. Day trips include squawking at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary at Gweek, flying at the thrill rides of The Flambards Experience and Crealy Great Adventure Park, or browsing around the towns of Falmouth, St Ives, Penzance and Truro for seafood, shopping, more beautiful beaches and a boat ride to the ancient harbour at Marizion’s St Michael’s Mount. Finally, round off your trip with an afternoon or evening at Penzance’s clifftop open-air Minack Theatre – squint a little bit at the amphitheatre and you could almost imagine you’re in Roman Britain…

Booking terms and conditions

Pitches

A cable measuring at least 15 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.

Safety

Firearms are not permitted.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the campground/park are unlit.

Dogs

Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.

Hired accommodation

Hired accommodation: GBP50.00 ($96.07) damage/cleanliness/bracelet deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure after inspection of your unit should no damage/losses be found.

General

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.

Changes to your holiday

Modifications are subject to a GBP5.00 ($9.59) fee.

Hired accommodation

No naked flames are allowed inside the hired accommodation units.

Arrivals and departures

No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Vehicles

Only one car is to be parked at the site. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.

General

Public areas are non-smoking.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and trunks must be closed quietly.
Refunds within the indicated cancellation period are only possible if the campground/park is able to relet your unit/site.
The campground/park is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.

Vehicles

The car is only included in the rate if you are traveling with a camper, trailer tent or tent. Cars are not permitted when traveling with a motorhome/RV.

Hired accommodation

The damage/cleanliness/bracelet deposit required on arrival can only be paid for in cash.

General

The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behavior is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Units will be allocated on arrival.

Unsupervised minors must have a letter of authorization from their parents or legal guardian.

Visitors

Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.

Hired accommodation

Your unit must be left clean and tidy; a fine of GBP100.00 ($178.20) will be charged for unclean units upon departure.
