  • Adults-only site in rural Cornwall, five minutes from Camborne
  • 10 minutes' drive from the beach at Hayle; 20 from St Michael's Mount
  • Family-run; communal barbecue area on site
Bag a berth at Bluebell Campsite, a secluded adults-only site in the Cornwall countryside with excellent facilities, and explore the very best bits of Cornwall. The site has a communal barbecue area for summer evening barbecues. The surrounds are decidedly relaxed and rural here, but a handy location three miles from the A30 (Cornwall’s main artery) means easy access to all sorts of days out. Beaches, an animal park, St Michael’s Mount and the galleries of St Ives are all within a leisurely half-hour drive of the site. Even closer to base are the town of Camborne (five minutes’ drive) and the little village of Praze-an-Beeble – it’s 20 minutes or so's stroll down here for a pub, shop and chippy. Got a hound in need of hols? Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the site, but they must be kept on a lead at all times.

Liked The couple that run the site were kind and friendly. Was always fun having a chat with them.
The shower and toilet facilities were immaculately clean and well maintained.
The site was quiet and peaceful as it was adults only.
I would highly recommend a stay here.

Liked We had a lovely stay at Bluebell camping. From the moment we arrived,we were welcomed by Jeanette and Steve, who were both lovely people. They showed us around and were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay - nothing was too much trouble.
The campsite was spotlessly clean, and our pitch was a really good size with electric and water. The washing up facilities were great and the hot showers were a real bonus!
It's also a fantastic location and makes the perfect base for exploring the beautiful beaches and towns nearby.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend !! We will be going back !!

Thank you, Jeanette and Steve, for making us feel so welcome !❤️

Liked The owners Steve and Jeanette were lovely. We were greeted at the gate and shown around. The site is immaculate. One of the tidiest we’ve ever been on. The site was quiet when we stayed which suites me. The toilet block was immaculate and very clean. Possibly a bit small if the site was full but we had no problem. The phone signal was poor over most of the site but I found near the centre of the grass pitch area it was very good. We were told the bus is a request stop right outside the gate. It’s about a mile walk to the nearest pub but the roads not great to walk on.

Liked The owners are lovely people, the pitches are reasonably level, the toilets and showers are clean, plenty of hot water for showers and even in the washing up area, which is a bonus, the gardens are beautiful, and very peaceful

Disliked Would have been nice to have visitors, but not a problem as we went to them instead, we struggled with the internet signal, but all the years we have lived in and visited Cornwall, we have always had a problem with the internet signal in Camborne

Liked Where to start, there are so many good things to say about the campsite. First of all, Steve and Jeanette are so welcoming, accomodating and lovely people. We didn't have the correct adaptor for the electric hook up and they kindly lent us one for our stay. They messaged us before we arrived to make sure we found the place (as the satnav takes you the wrong way), and once we arrived explained where everything was and how to use them. We also got a sheet that explained the very few rules of the camp site which were not unreasonable. The campsite itself is very well maintained, Steve and Jeanette are always out working to keep the place lovely. There was a problem with the shower temperature, however this was resolved by the next morning. We only visited for 3 nights as a trial with our dog who has never been camping but wish we had stayed longer. We will be visiting again in the near future.

Disliked Nothing at all.

Local attractions

Cornwall, as you may have heard, has a rather fine collection of beaches… the nearest to Bluebell Campsite being the lengthy stretch of sand around Hayle (10 minutes’ drive) and the three-mile expanse of sand and shingle at Porthleven beach (15 minutes). Pick your times carefully if you’re off to St Michael’s Mount (20 minutes) – walks can only be had at low tide and boat rides only at high tide. Seals are fond of this area too, and you can set off to see them on boat trips from St Ives (25 minutes) or be guaranteed viewings at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary (25 minutes). Folk who like to delve into local history (or see some of the locations from the popular telly series) should head below ground at Poldark Mine & The Cornish Heritage Collection (15 minutes).
