With red squirrels, buzzards, jays and other woodland creatures, The Woodland Retreat is a wildlife haven on the Isle of Wight. The woodland setting is just a 15-minute walk from Fishbourne, where there is a ferry service to Portsmouth. You needn't bring a car either, as bus stops are only a five-minute walk away from the site. The Woodland Retreat is all about relaxing and meeting new people. As well as having woodland creatures, it has stunning trees, plants and flowers, and it feels very tucked away despite being so close to the local village and public transport. It’s just a 20-minute walk from the local monastery Quarr Abbey, which has a tearoom and peaceful gardens. Beaches are also within striking distance, including Woodside Beach (a 45-minute walk or a 35-minute trip by bus) and the beaches in Ryde (a 20-minute bus trip). There are splendid walks from The Woodland Retreat to Ryde, beaches and Quarr Abbey. The local village is Wootton Bridge, a 20-minute walk or a five-minute bus away. It has a food shop, a couple of restaurants, a pizzeria, charity shops, a pharmacy and a lovely lake.

The cabin offers an open space living & sleeping area with a separate kitchen & bathroom with wonderful panoramic views of the trees & wildlife. The Space has large windows giving you panoramic views of the woodland & nature all around you. If you sit quietly you will see red squirrels, Jays, Buzzards, all sorts of birds and on rare occasions foxes can be sited. The Kitchen consists of a large portable baby belling oven, double induction hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, large toaster, kettle and slow cook. It is fully equipped with plates, bowls, glasses, mugs and all cooking items such as pots and pans. The main area has a table with 6 fold up seats and two large seats at the breakfast bar perfect for bird watching and squirrel spotting. A lovely way to spend an evening with the wood burner lit in this cosy woodland setting. We can provide you with logs (an extra fee payable in cast on arrival) or bring your own. We have a new addition of a larger sofa photo coming soon so you can relax in a cosy space. Sleeping arrangements: There is a double bed in the main room and a little room with a bunk beds. We make up the double bed and we leave the bedding for the 2 singles. We also have a tuned piano so you can play to your hearts content. The Bathroom has one hot shower, toilet, sink, one long length mirror and one small mirror, soap, towel and bathroom mats. The outside area one bench, outside chairs (you are welcome to use the inside chairs if you need more just make sure you bring them in after you have used them), one fire pit and two small pallete tables. There is also a communal area so you can connect with the others guests at The Woodland Retreat if you wish to. We hope you have a wonderful stay here and take time out to reconnect with yourself, your loved ones and the natural environment

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.

Changes to your holiday

Changes cannot be made once you have booked.

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

Hired accommodation

Hired accommodation: GBP50.00 ($95.46) damage/cleanliness/bracelet deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure after inspection of your unit should no damage/losses be found.

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
