Liked We had a lovely stay! The camping was calm, clean in a beatifull surrounding.

Disliked The sanitary building was quite old and needed some maintenance, and the new building for women was closed.

Liked Stayed with a group of 8 adults in 2 vans and 2 tents. Pitches were spacious and tidy. Facilities were clean. Wardens walking around the site each evening. Enjoyed a lovely stroll to the local pub.

Liked The off lead dog area. Plenty of room. The pitches were nice and level. It was nice to have met the staff when we arrived and through our our stay.

Disliked This time I just happened to be friends but I normally travel as a solo traveller with my dog. I was a bit disappointed that dogs are were not permitted in the toilets. I do not feel comfortable with leaving my dog outside unattended as many dogs are stolen when left outside. I wasn't able to use the WiFi at all. I had no signal.

Thank you for letting us know the footpath needed cutting back again, this has now been attended to. Details of other local walks are also available on the campsite noticeboard. Our personal favourite is Stockbridge Down, less than 2 miles drive from the campsite with free National Trust parking, a beautiful chalk downland with far-reaching views, a variety of wildlife and archaeological features.

Liked For starters the security is excellent, in a beautiful location and a quiet site.
Very clean pitches and facilities.
This site does offer WiFi tho I couldn't seem to connect to it.

Disliked Lack of a wet room with seat and rails as the single shower room would ideally make one. Tho as a disabled person that likes to holiday i may be biased.
And personally it would have been nice to recieve a welcome etc rather than an email with instructions.. but that's my own preference. Email was clear on instructions 👌🏻

We appreciate your comments regarding accessibility and the shower facilities, your perspective is very important to us and we'll take your suggestions into account as we plan improvements. Our new ladies shower block, which includes wet rooms, is about to open in time for the school holidays. We're sorry it wasn't quite open when you stayed but we hope you'll enjoy it on your next visit.

Our welcome email is designed to give guests the convenience of being able to pitch up and know where everything is without having to queue at reception. Our friendly wardens like to welcome guests personally on their walk rounds each evening.

new facilities only open at weekends so had to use very dated showers

Our evening visits are intended as a friendly check-in to ensure guests have everything they need, but we understand this may not suit everyone, and we’ll take a closer look at how we approach this moving forward.

The limited access to the new amenities during your stay was due to some final preparations before they open full time for the school holidays. Its personal preference, but many of our guests favour the smaller block that was open during your stay as it has private bathrooms and electric showers. We're currently investing in improvements to ensure everyone visiting us has the best possible experience.

Our wardens work tirelessly keeping the facilities spotless so we're sorry to hear your comments. Our pitches are spacious, even more so during the week when we're quieter, but the campsite was full with lots of families enjoying the heatwave.There was a wonderful atmosphere onsite, but we understand it might not have been what you were looking for and wish you all the best.

Disliked Sorry this campsite was not for us ! In our opinion it was just a sectioned off field devoid of all character . We didn’t find the farm because we parked up looked at each other and said not for us and went home . But I will add good facilities for children and dogs .

From the manager: It's a little unfair to review somewhere you didn't stay. There are thousands of trees and hedge plants surround the camping fields, supporting a wide range of wildlife. They don't cast a huge amount of shade when the sun is at its highest point in the summer, but this isn't usually an issue as we're not often treated to three heatwaves in a row!

The campsite is situated around a traditional Hampshire farmstead, complete with original threshing barn and farm buildings. There hasn't been a working farm here for many years, instead Folly Farm is a place for wildlife, and families and friends to enjoy time together in nature. We're sorry you didn't stay long enough to appreciate this.

Disliked Ladies shower facilities need updating- sign to say being upgraded end of June. My partner used the gents showers with his daughter which he found stressful as you can not change the water temperature which was too hot for a 5 year old.

I'm sorry to hear your partner and his daughter found the shower too hot in the men's block. The showers are set at the recommended shower temperature for public use, which is 41°C. This temperature is considered warm enough for comfort while minimizing the risk of scalding. The new ladies shower block was slightly delayed but will open next week in time for the school holidays. We look forward to welcoming you back to enjoy the new facilities.
