Camping has been a part of YMCA programming for more than a century and we founded the first continuously used camp in 1861, so by choosing us for your camping holiday you will be benefiting from 149 years of experience! Our Campsite is situated within the grounds of Fairthorne Manor, offering opportunities for families to drop in for the day or to stay overnight. The Campsite is dotted with copses, a stream and plenty of room in which families can enjoy themselves. The site is open for families to enjoy a relaxing and picturesque setting in which to unwind along with a range of both organised and self-led children’s activities such as nature trails and natural play. Families can drop in for a full or part day or of course camp overnight. We can also give scheduled access to the YMCA Fairthorne Manor activity programme including our fantastic regular clubs kayaking and sailing. We can also cater for large groups, wedding and special occasions, just get in touch! Local attractions

We are fortunate enough to be within walking distance of Botley which boasts shops, restaurants, and pubs for visitors to enjoy. Being set on the beautiful River Hamble means that there are plenty of nearby fishing spots to take advantage of. Alternatively, if it is horses you are interested in, why not visit our next door neighbors, a well established equestrian centre.
