Liked: Was a lovely quiet site, very friendly. Nice distance walk to the town. Toilets were really clean

Disliked: Anything was a little bit disappointing was I thought the children's play area that was advertised was on site but actually you had to walk off site to get to the bigger one. The little one on site was an adequate for our age children.

Powered grass site

Liked: Good location, clean facilities, good size pitches, friendly staff and welcome.

Disliked: We attended during a very busy bank holiday weekend in May - there wasn’t always hot water available for showering.

From the manager: Hi. Thanks for your review, we appreciate all comments good or critical. We appreciate that the ladies showers were not always hot. Unfortunately, the volume of people showering at around the same time created a lag in re-heating times for the shower storage units. For that we apologize most profusely. Look forward to welcoming you back. Thanks T & D

Powered grass site

Liked: Nice site overall, pitches good size & amenities close by. Could see the kids play area from our pitch which was a bonus. Good fishing for Grandad & close by for the grandkids to walk to.

Disliked: Hot water very limited, even waiting 10/20 minutes was still cold. Also, toilet/shower block floor was muddy but the weather probably didn’t help

Unpowered grass site

Liked: Great for children of all ages. A fun campsite for adults but with the added bonus of quiet time starting at 10/10:30. It made it much easier to get some sleep! The staff on arrival and depart were friendly and welcoming. Our motorhome was stuck after torrential rain and the sense of community from the other campers was wonderful and so many people rushed to help. Really enjoyed our stay!

Disliked: The grumpy old woman riding a horse, vaping and acting like an overbearing ruler of all the land. We went for a walk and took a wrong turn and she came galloping along, vape in hand, and was extremely rude to us (we were with young children). Perhaps she just needs to realise that it doesn’t take much to be kind. She has no relation to the campsite I believe, but just watch out for her!

From the manager: Hi. Many, many thanks for your lovely review. We think that the overall sense of community and fun in that top field that Bank Holiday was great to see and hear!. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay, and we hope to see you back with us soon!! Thanks T & D

Powered grass site

Liked: Stayed with 2 other families and had a blast! Facilities always clean, never had to queue to use facilities even when site was fully booked. Small play park on site. Little shop on site. Big park and playing fields next door. Pub/restaurant 2 minute walk away with lovely views, horses and wooded walks. Coffee van drives round site every morning and ice cream van every evening. Fab stay! Will defiantly return.

Disliked: No WiFi or limited photo signal, but actually was a good thing as forced kids to play outside
