Liked: I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Caldbeck campsite, and I must say it was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at ease. Here are some highlights that made my stay memorable: The campsite’s serene surroundings provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The peaceful ambiance allowed me to truly unwind and connect with nature. The campsite’s host, was incredibly warm and accommodating. Her friendly demeanor made us feel right at home. As a dog owner, I appreciated that Caldbeck campsite is pet-friendly. My furry companion had a blast exploring the nearby trails and playing fetch in the open fields. It’s refreshing to find a campsite that welcomes four-legged friends with open arms. Having access to my own table and bench was a thoughtful touch. Whether I was enjoying a morning cup of coffee or sharing a meal with my partner, having this private space added to the overall comfort of my stay. The icing on the cake was the fantastic weather during my visit. Clear skies, gentle breezes, and sunny days made my outdoor experience even more enjoyable. In summary, Caldbeck campsite exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for a tranquil getaway with friendly hosts, a dog-friendly environment, and your own little nook to relax, I highly recommend this hidden gem. I can’t wait to return! 🌿🏕️☀️

Liked: Really lovely little site - pitched up right next to the stream on one side and a forest walk on the other. Toilets and shower were nearby, and although basic they were very clean. The owner was friendly and helpful -and always around somewhere if you needed anything or had any questions 😊 Really great location too - easy to drive out and explore or go for local walks.

Liked: This was our first camping holiday and Caldbeck Camping was absolutely perfect for us. The site is in a great location, with a pub serving good food just a five minute walk away, as well as a small shop in the village - although this is quite expensive! The toilets and showers are spotless and well maintained, and have key codes to prevent them being used by walkers passing through. We were really lucky with the weather, but there are rubber mats free to use in case it turns wet. There is also a wooden bench and firepit at each pitch. Logs can be bought from the nearby shop. A footpath runs through the camsite so there are plenty of walks without getting in the car, and of course plenty more trails if you want to venture out a bit further.
Disliked: While the footpath running through the campsite is a blessing for being the start of some great walks, a few passers by didn't exactly have control of their dogs and let them roam around our tent in the early hours, and late at night. Obviously this can't be controlled by the hosts, so still 5*
