Unpowered grass tent site

Liked: The location was beautiful. The campsite was very clean and quiet. And we loved the pub dinner, a 5 minute walk from our pitch. Plenty of trails started nearby and Glenridding and all of its attractions and activities on Ullswater are a stone's throw away. We wish we had stayed longer and will definitely be back soon!

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked: The site is so stunning that you can literally picture your tent in any direction and have a breath taking view. Incredibly helpful staff that gave us pointers of the better places to pitch around the wet weather. Some of the field gets a bit puddle-y but there’s so much space on site it really doesn’t matter. We frequently saw staff cleaning and maintaining the site. So dedicated and hands on, the facilities were so spotless. The dryer came in clutch with the soggy clothes from hiking. The shop was incredibly well stocked, they’d kind of thought of everything and it was all priced really reasonably. Quiet and peaceful site. There were patrols of the campground done to make sure no one was getting too rowdy and disturbing others.

Disliked: Literally nothing. There was no part I disliked.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked: Great facilities - hot showers, plenty of toilets, well stocked shop on site, WiFi was a bonus, and dog friendly. Staff were very helpful and location was stunning.

Disliked: Very rocky underfoot which made knocking in tent pegs challenging, might be good to know. Very high wind speeds as it is located in a valley which made putting the tent up and down a struggle.
