What customers say
Top spot with stunning views & a ripper vibe. Clean loos, hot showers, handy common room. Great base for exploring the Lakes, close to walks & sights. A bit of road noise & dodgy Wi-Fi, but most keen to come back!

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked We had a lovely one-night camping stay at Gill Head Farm and really enjoyed our time there. The campsite was so peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful views of Blencathra that made the setting feel really special.
The whole site was extremely clean and well looked after, and the toilets and showers were absolutely spotless, which makes such a difference when camping.
Our 3-year-old daughter had a brilliant time exploring and enjoying being outdoors, and it was a lovely place for us to spend some family time together.
We would definitely recommend Gill Head Farm to anyone looking for a peaceful, clean and scenic campsite in the Lake District. We’d happily stay again!
